Skip to main content Back to all jobs Event Planner Leiden Full-time Permanent employee Apply for this job Your mission The Event Planner coordinates and delivers seamless, high-quality and impactful events that support the IKEA Foundation’s strategic priorities and ways of working. The role oversees end-to-end event logistics – from planning timelines and managing budgets to coordinating registrations, speakers, and event platforms – ensuring smooth and efficient execution across internal and external engagements. Working closely with the Stakeholder Engagement and Convening Specialist, Programme teams, Communications, and external partners, the Event Planner enables well-organised and engaging experiences that reflect the Foundation’s values and brand. The role ensures that events are thoughtfully prepared, operationally sound, and responsive to real-time needs, while maintaining strong documentation, supplier coordination, and CRM management to support consistent delivery and continuous improvement.

You have: experience in administrative or event support roles; proven track record of organising big meetings or small events in international settings; familiarity with basic office software and online meeting tools; prior experience with productivity or workflow tools such as event management platforms, automation tools, or CRM systems; strong organisational skills and attention to detail, ensuring all logistical aspects of events are managed efficiently and accurately; comfortable working in multicultural environments. Benchmarked salary for a full-time (38 hours per week) contract, including 8% holiday allowance. Fully funded pension scheme , with no employee contribution required. Wellbeing allowance of €780 per year to support your mental and physical health. 30 days of annual leave (full-time basis). Flexible working arrangements, with office-based collaboration as the primary way of working. Fully covered public transport commuting through an NS Business Card. 15% IKEA co-worker discount (up to €500 per year).
