About the role
We are looking for a Junior Scrum Master to join our growing Agile and DevOps practice. In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional DevOps teams and public sector clients, helping teams embrace Agile principles and continuously improve their ways of working.
As a Scrum Master, you will act as a coach and facilitator rather than a traditional manager, guiding teams through Scrum ceremonies, removing impediments, and fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
You will work with long-term customer engagements, primarily within government and public sector environments, supporting multiple Agile teams and helping organizations deliver high-quality IT services and solutions.
What you'll do
Support Agile and DevOps teams in applying Scrum principles and Agile ways of working
Facilitate Scrum ceremonies, including Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, Retrospectives, and Backlog Refinement sessions
Help foster collaboration, transparency, and continuous improvement within Scrum teams
Assist in identifying and removing impediments that affect team delivery
Work closely with Product Owners, developers, and stakeholders to support successful Sprint outcomes
Encourage Agile best practices and contribute to improving team maturity
Monitor team progress and help identify opportunities for process improvements
Support communication between technical teams and business stakeholders
Learn from and collaborate with senior Scrum Masters and Agile Coaches where applicable
Contribute to Agile initiatives across the organization
What you'll bring
1–3 years of experience as a Scrum Master or in a similar Agile role (e.g. Agile Project Coordinator, Agile Delivery Coordinator, Junior Scrum Master)
Professional Scrum Master (PSM I) certification or equivalent is preferred
Good understanding of Agile methodologies and Scrum principles
Experience facilitating Scrum ceremonies in an Agile environment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Eager to coach teams and support continuous improvement
Proactive mindset with a willingness to learn and develop
Experience working in a technical or IT environment is an advantage
Experience working within government or public sector environments is a plus
Fluent Dutch and English language skills
Must be eligible to work in the Netherlands and able to pass government-related security screening requirements
