Submit Your Resume CV Job Search Graduate Opportunities Submit Your Resume CV Job Search Graduate Opportunities EHS Specialist Location: Blanchardstown, Dublin Employment Type: Full-Time Date Posted: 11/Aug/2026 Apply for this job EHS Shutdown Support Specialist Duration: Immediate Start - 25th September Hours: 7:30am - 4:00pm, Monday to Friday (shorter day on Fridays) Overview Our Dublin-based pharmaceutical manufacturing client is seeking an experienced EHS Shutdown Support Specialist to provide onsite support during a critical annual plant shutdown. This is an immediate requirement, supporting the preparation, implementation, and management of EHS systems and contractor activities throughout the shutdown period. The successful candidate will work closely with site leadership to ensure the effective management of permit-to-work systems, contractor safety, and shutdown-related EHS activities while maintaining compliance with all site requirements and regulatory standards.
What you'll do
Provide onsite EHS support for shutdown planning and execution activities. Assist with the management and oversight of Permit to Work (PTW) systems during the shutdown period. Support PSCS duties and ensure compliance with relevant construction and safety regulations. Review and manage Risk Assessment Method Statements (RAMS) for contractors and shutdown activities. Coordinate contractor management processes and ensure adherence to site safety standards. Monitor high-risk activities and support safe execution of maintenance and project work. Engage with contractors, site personnel, and stakeholders to ensure effective communication of EHS expectations. Support implementation and administration of shutdown-specific EHS systems and controls. Participate in site inspections, audits, and safety reviews throughout the shutdown.
What you'll bring
Minimum 3 years' experience in an EHS role within a regulated industrial environment. Experience managing: PSCS responsibilities Permit to Work (PTW) systems RAMS reviews and approvals Contractor management processes Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Experience within pharmaceutical, chemical, manufacturing, or construction environments . Ability to work onsite full-time throughout the shutdown period. Qualifications Primary Degree in Engineering, Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or equivalent discipline. Relevant EHS certifications and training would be advantageous. Training & Onboarding The successful contractor will complete site-specific training covering: Contractor Management Procedures Permit to Work Systems Internal Shutdown and Safety Management Systems
