As Senior Strategic Business Partner People & Culture, you are responsible for developing, implementing, and safeguarding strategic and tactical People & Culture policy. You ensure that the organisation has qualified, motivated, and employable employees, and in doing so contribute directly to the organisation’s objectives. You are a strong sparring partner for the CEO and line management. You report directly to the CEO and lead the (small) HR team and payroll administration. KIT will be in transition in the coming years and therefore, this role is of crucial importance. Change priorities for the coming years are building and enhancing a culture in which result- orientation, financial sustainability and accountability will be combined with non-hierarchical, inclusive leadership, transparency in decision-making, direct and honest feedback mechanisms. Dominant HR themes will be structured around retention of knowledge and expertise, efficiency and cost awareness, collaboration and staff care incl. reduction of absenteeism.

What you'll do

You develop and implement People & Culture policies aligned with the organisation’s strategy; You advise the executive team and line management on strategic and tactical people-related matters; You provide direction on themes such as employability, retention programmes, diversity & inclusion, talent development, leadership, and strategic workforce planning; You ensure well-designed People & Culture processes, including onboarding, development, offboarding, absenteeism, performance management, and compensation; You monitor compliance with legislation, collective labour agreements, and internal guidelines; You develop HR reports and management information on topics such as headcount, absenteeism, turnover, and employability; You maintain contact with both internal as well as external partners such as Works Council, Trade Union, Occupational health services, training providers, and legal advisors; You initiate improvements and innovations within the People & Culture domain; You are a member of KIT’s Management Team and work closely with the CEO and the Managing Director; As sparring partner, you provide both solicited and unsolicited advice.

What you'll bring

Higher professional or academic working and thinking level (HBO/ WO), preferably in HR, People & Culture, Business Administration, or a related field; Extensive experience in a senior HR or People & Culture role; Thorough knowledge of labour law, social legislation, and relevant collective labour agreements in the Dutch context; Experience with organisational development and change management; Strong advisory skills at both strategic and tactical level; Leadership experience and a coaching style; Experience with HR systems, digitalisation, and HR data; In addition, you are organisationally sensitive, connecting, results-oriented, trustworthy, and always act with the highest integrity standards.
