What you'll do
Firm Profiling and Events Plan and deliver firm events from end to end, including project management, venue sourcing, event marketing, participant management, speaker coordination, logistics, and on-site execution. Manage invitations and RSVPs through the Firm's CRM system and ensure all event materials are brand compliant. Assist with agenda development, stakeholder engagement, and post-event reporting, including ROI tracking and recommendations. Support the continuous improvement of event processes, standards, and best practices to enhance attendee experience Business Development and Marketing Prepare and coordinate pitches, capability statements, and other BD materials. Coordinate legal directory and award submissions, working closely with lawyers, the central Directories team and external consultants. Support the planning and coordination of client meetings, client visits, internal training sessions and sponsored initiatives. Undertake research and provide business, industry, client and competitor intelligence using AI-enabled tools. Prepare marketing collateral as requested, including legal updates, client alerts, newsletters, and other promotional materials. Support the development and implementation of specific business development and client plans. Coordinate the collection and submission of deal and matter information to the Firm's deals database and other knowledge repositories. Provide broader support for BDMC initiatives and other ad hoc projects as required. Stakeholder Management and Collaboration Build and maintain effective working relationships with partners, lawyers, BDMC colleagues, and other business services teams. Work collaboratively with regional and global BDMC teams to support cross-office initiatives and share best practices. Support practice groups and partners in the delivery of business development and marketing activities. BD Operation & Infrastructure Maintain and update BD databases, including client contacts, mailing lists, memberships, and deal records. Track and report on the status and outcomes of BD activities, events, and initiatives. Coordinate meetings, presentations, and conference calls, including preparation of materials and follow-up on action items. Assist with BDMC-related administrative and financial processes, including budget tracking, purchase orders, and invoice processing.
About the company
The BD Executive/Senior Executive will support a broad range of business development and marketing initiatives, with a particular focus on the planning, coordination, and delivery of client events and engagement initiatives. Working closely with partners, lawyers, and business services colleagues, the role will help deliver high-quality events, supporting all aspects of event execution, including content development, marketing and communications, logistics, stakeholder management, and post-event evaluation. The role will also contribute to a variety of business development and marketing activities, including pitches, legal submissions, client development initiatives, and profile-raising efforts. In addition, the successful candidate will have opportunities to work collaboratively with BDMC colleagues and other business professionals across the Firm on cross-office and cross-practice initiatives.
Degree in business administration, marketing, or similar qualifications At least two years' experience in events management, business development, marketing or a related field. Experience within legal or professional services would be an advantage Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Strong organizational and project management skills A collaborative team player with the ability to work well across different teams and functions. Good interpersonal skills and ability to successfully manage stakeholders and projects across the global organization Demonstrates cultural awareness and the ability to work effectively in a diverse, global environment. Adaptable and resilient, with the ability to respond positively to changing priorities and business needs
