About the role

There is a vacancy for the Business Developer position in our Water Resilience Department. We are looking for talents with core Water industry background experience. The successful applicant will be working in a positive and professional environment. What you'll do

Business Development Develop a pipeline of project opportunities with identified and targeted Customers/ Clients. Develop new customer accounts, by showcasing Haskoning capability and services. Establish, develop and maintain good internal and external contacts; update CRM regularly, with the aim of generating continuity (repeat business) for Haskoning. Develop network with developers, investors, partners and EPC contractor in collaboration with the Regional BD team. Participate in Account management process by preparing a management plan including specific actions per account managed, within one or more market segments. Focus on the following sectors: Water Resources Management, Flood Risk Management, and Climate Change Adaptation/Resilience. Achieve sales levels at pre-agreed targets. Leads & Proposals Identify leads and opportunities in the water sector for public and private sector through newspapers and tender websites, share market insight through information pieces in newspapers, in order to recognize investments at an early stage and anticipate market or client demands. Manage preparation of Prequalification Questionnaires, Expressions of Interest, Vendor/Supplier Questionnaires. Carry out detailed reviews of Request for Proposal (RfP) documents, identify critical requirements. Support preliminary analysis of leads and RfP (Go /No-Go) based on business priorities, assist in preparing documents for internal approval process. Assist in preparation, co-ordination, and submission of proposals; assist in integrating methodology text provided by experts / subconsultants, company profiles, project references, staff descriptions, etc. Prepare proposals (tenders), in consultation with the Project Managers, taking account of the standard format, support Project Managers in negotiating contractual agreements for Haskoning on the basis of an approved proposal, in accordance with legislation and regulations, contractual agreements, within the framework of risk analysis. Internal Operations/ Business Processes Support the continuous improvement of tools and resources for water business development and proposal activities. Support the Global and/or Regional Water and Maritime Business Development Team with pipeline management including the use of CRM, ERP tool (ABW), PowerBI/Tableau, and other data tools. Support or Drive the preparation of presentations with relevant content and in attracting new business. Support business line and corporate groups with marketing and campaign activities. Provide support for marketing activities for Water and Maritime Vietnam AG.

What you'll bring

1. General requirements: Comfortable working in a team environment. Self motivated and demonstrated initiative. Result-oriented. Can work unsupervised; and Can work under pressure and meet deadlines. 2. Job requirement: University or Master degree in Civil Engineering, Business Administration or equivalent. At least 03-year working experience in consultancy, engineering, business development or in project development field. Good sales skills and good knowledge of the market relating to the water sector. Good understanding of project development. Established analytical ability as well as basic project management skills. Fluent communication skills English. Fluency in Vietnamese language (speaking and writing) is a must. Having experience on Graphic design, websites, advertising, books, magazines, posters, exhibitions and displays designs relating to the company’s brand standards is a plus. Having ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet strict deadlines. Being creative, has an eye for detail, dependable, flexible, innovative, and can work independently. Willing to travel domestically on a regular basis to meet with clients.
