About the role
Manager – Commercial Due Diligence (CDD) | EY-Parthenon
As a Manager in the Commercial Due Diligence team, you will lead project teams on commercial due diligence engagements and broader growth strategy assignments for private equity and corporate clients. You will combine strong problem solving and analytical skills with team leadership, client management and coaching responsibilities. Your main activities will include: Lead commercial due diligence and growth strategy projects from kick-off to final client presentation, ensuring high-quality output and clear recommendations. Structure and oversee analyses on markets, customers, competitors and business performance drivers, using both primary and secondary research as well as quantitative modelling. Review and manage deal materials to identify critical commercial opportunities, risks and key value drivers related to a proposed transaction. Guide project teams in translating complex findings into clear, actionable insights for management teams, C-level executives and investment professionals. Take ownership of project planning, day-to-day team management and quality control across workstreams and deliverables. Coach and develop consultants and senior consultants through daily guidance, feedback and on-the-job mentoring. Build strong client relationships and act as a trusted sparring partner throughout the course of an engagement. Contribute actively to business development by helping shape proposals, supporting pitches and identifying follow-on opportunities. Support the continued growth of the practice through recruitment, team development and knowledge sharing.
What you'll bring
You have a minimum of 5 years of strategy consulting experience or equivalent, with a strong track record in commercial due diligence, growth strategy and transaction-related work. You have proven experience in leading project teams and coaching junior colleagues in a fast-paced, high-performance environment. You hold a Master’s degree in Economics, Engineering or Business Administration with strong academic results and coursework relevant to the position. You bring a strong commercial mindset and are able to identify the market and company performance drivers that matter most in an investment context. You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to structure complex questions and turn them into practical client recommendations. You are comfortable performing and reviewing detailed commercial assessments of markets, customers and competitors by leveraging primary and secondary research tools. You have experience presenting findings and recommendations to senior client stakeholders, including management teams, C-level executives and investment professionals. You have experience contributing to business development, including proposal writing, pitch preparation and broader practice-building initiatives. You are fluent in Dutch and English.
