About the role
Full Stack Java Engineer Duration: ASAP - 31st December 2027 Workload: Full-time hours Setup: Freelance (Daily Rate / BV or ZZP) Sponsorship: Not Provided Location: Veldhoven, Netherlands (2 days per week onsite, 3 remote) Our client is seeking an experienced Full Stack Java Engineer to support the development and modernisation of a large-scale application platform hosting over 40 business-critical applications.
What you'll do
Develop and maintain enterprise-grade Java and Angular applications. Contribute to the migration of legacy systems into modern Java/Angular solutions. Design, build, and optimise backend services using Java, Spring Boot, and SQL. Develop responsive frontend applications with Angular, RxJS, and NgRX. Implement CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices. Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable solutions. Maintain high code quality through testing, automation, and peer reviews. Support multiple applications within a complex platform environment. Must-Have Skills: Java 11+ (Java 17+ preferred) Spring Boot Angular 14+ (Angular 18 preferred) Strong SQL expertise RxJS and NgRX Docker Git CI/CD and DevOps practices Experience working within complex application landscapes Stakeholder management and Agile/SAFe delivery experience Nice-to-Have: MySQL PHP GitLab Jenkins GitLab CI Nx Experience modernising legacy applications
