We underwrite, administer and handle claims on behalf of our carriers, so the quality of our insurance operation is our product. 🧭 What You’ll Do You run Fidamy's day-to-day MGA operations and report directly to the Chief Insurance Officer as their right hand. The framework and strategy are in place. Your job is to make sure everything runs properly every day, and to flag and fix what doesn't work in practice. This is a doing role. You'll prepare the bordereau, reconcile the settlement, answer the carrier's question, check the conditions and improve the process yourself. You are the first point of contact for everything insurance. Your core responsibilities: Carrier operations Handle day-to-day contact with our carriers: answering questions, sharing information and following up on actions. Prepare bordereaux, management information and input for business reviews, accurately and on time. Run financial settlement with carriers, including premium and claims accounts, reconciliations and commission. Monitor that programmes run within carrier agreements, authority limits and underwriting guidelines, and escalate where they don't. Support onboarding of new carriers and programmes, including due diligence requests. Programme operations Keep our live programmes running smoothly, from policy administration to renewals. Apply our underwriting guidelines in daily practice and handle referrals within your authority. Work with our data team on portfolio reporting at carrier, partner and product level, and flag trends you see in the daily business. Product launches Support product development with the insurance work: review conditions, IPIDs and POG documentation, and help get products through carrier approval and live. Make sure new products comply with POG, IDD and the Wft in practice. Build and maintain operational playbooks so each new programme launches on a repeatable setup. Supporting claims and customer support Support the claims and customer support teams with insurance expertise on complex cases, coverage questions and escalations. Monitor their performance and turn findings into concrete learnings and improvements. Find where claims and support processes lose time and fix them, using tech where it helps. Feed claims and complaints insights back into products and conditions. Compliance and control Make sure daily operations run within our volmacht agreements, the Wft and applicable EU rules. Prepare for and support carrier audits, and keep our operational controls (AO/IC) and procedures up to date. Monitor the day-to-day performance of TPAs and service providers. Across the business Be the first point of contact for colleagues, TPAs and service providers on insurance questions. Support tech and product teams with insurance knowledge, for example on data fields, claims flows or automation. Support commercial deals with practical insurance input, making sure what's sold can be delivered. 🎯 About You Must-haves: 3–5 years' experience in non-life insurance, ideally at a Dutch MGA/volmacht, insurer or broker. Hands-on experience with insurance operations: reporting, policy administration, settlements or carrier contact. A good understanding of claims handling. Working knowledge of the Dutch and EU regulatory framework (Wft, IDD, POG). Someone who likes doing the work: structured, precise and comfortable picking up whatever needs doing. Fluent in Dutch and English. Based in or willing to relocate to Amsterdam. Nice-to-haves: Experience with carrier audits, such as the WRV (Werkprogramma Risicobeheersing). Wft diplomas (Basis, Schadeverzekeringen Particulier). German at professional working level. Experience with embedded, digital or cross-border insurance programmes. Comfort with data, tooling and automation.
