Role Overview

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join the Development Tooling team within the Platform & Technology organisation.

The team manages the CI/CD tooling and infrastructure supporting approximately 4,000 IT engineers. The role focuses on cloud infrastructure, CI/CD platforms, automation, tooling support and infrastructure standardisation. The ideal candidate will have a strong infrastructure background and be comfortable supporting critical applications while developing deeper expertise in CI/CD platforms and DevOps tooling.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and support cloud infrastructure and Kubernetes environments.

Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automation.

Support and maintain development and DevOps tooling.

Provide L2 support for critical business applications and technical issues.

Install, configure and maintain COTS applications on cloud and on-premise environments.

Automate infrastructure and operational processes using Ansible/IaC.

Troubleshoot Linux, infrastructure and network-related issues.

Manage incidents, changes and problems according to defined SLAs.

Support infrastructure alignment, standardisation and continuous improvement.

Collaborate with DevOps teams and support developers using the CI/CD platform.

Contribute to a secure and compliant SecDevOps environment.

Mandatory Skills

6–8 years of relevant DevOps / Infrastructure experience.

Minimum 3 years of hands-on Operations/DevOps engineering experience.

Strong expertise in Go/Golang.

Strong foundation in Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure.

Hands-on experience with Kubernetes (K8s).

Strong Linux administration and OS concepts.

Hands-on experience creating and managing CI/CD pipelines.

Experience with automation and Infrastructure as Code.

Hands-on experience with Ansible / Ansible playbooks.

Experience providing L2 support for critical business applications.

Strong troubleshooting and incident-resolution skills.

Experience working with cloud and/or on-premise infrastructure.

Ansible Tower experience.

Azure DevOps.

Experience with CI/CD tools.

Experience with software artifact repositories such as Nexus Repository Manager.

SonarQube / Fortify / Nexus Lifecycle.

Experience troubleshooting network hardware and software.

Knowledge of PostgreSQL or other databases.

Experience installing and maintaining COTS applications.

SecDevOps / DevSecOps experience.
