About the role

At Invest International, the IT & Change team enables the organisation to work smarter, more securely and more effectively through technology, data, systems and change initiatives. AI is becoming an increasingly important part of this work, as we explore how AI can support colleagues, improve processes, strengthen knowledge sharing and create practical value across the organisation. We are looking for an intern for a few months who is currently studying AI, for example at the University of Amsterdam, VU Amsterdam or the University of Groningen. The trainee will be supervised and mentored by Nicole Roos and will work closely with colleagues in IT & Change on practical AI-related topics. To support our AI adoption and responsible innovation agenda, we are looking for an ambitious AI intern who wants to gain hands-on experience in a business environment where technology, governance and organisational change come together. Role and Responsibilities As an intern, you will support the IT & Change team with practical AI research, analysis and implementation support. Depending on your background and interests, your work may include: Researching relevant AI use cases for Invest International and assessing their feasibility, value and implementation requirements. Supporting the development of practical AI solutions, prototypes, agents, workflows or prompts that help colleagues work more effectively. Exploring how Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Studio and related tools can be applied safely and productively within the organisation. Helping to document AI opportunities, requirements, risks and lessons learned in a clear and structured way. Contributing to AI adoption activities, including training materials, internal guidance, demonstrations and knowledge sharing. Supporting responsible AI practices by considering data quality, privacy, security, governance and appropriate human oversight. Working with colleagues across IT & Change and the wider organisation to understand business needs and translate them into practical AI support. Help prepare meeting and workshop materials. Assisting with general team support activities, including coordinating follow-ups, maintaining documentation, preparing simple summaries or overviews, and helping the team stay organised across ongoing initiatives.

You are someone who: Is currently pursuing a degree in Artificial Intelligence or a related field. Has a strong interest in applied AI, business process improvement, responsible AI and digital transformation. Is curious, analytical and able to translate technical concepts into clear and practical business language. Has some experience with AI tools, prompting, automation, data analysis or prototyping; experience with Microsoft 365 Copilot or Copilot Studio is an advantage. Communicates clearly and professionally in English; speaking Dutch is an advantage. Is proactive, structured and comfortable working with colleagues from different disciplines. Is available for a full-time internship or traineeship for 4-6 months. Is currently living in the Netherlands.
