About the role
The focus of the R&D organization is on First Class innovation- and Development of (Infotainment) Radio-, Amplifier- products and (Driver assistance) Radar- and Car2x products for the Automotive market.
For our System Application and Validation team within NXP Nijmegen, The Netherlands, we are looking for a Validation Engineer to join. In this exciting role, you will be in charge of developing, executing and reporting on system and IC level validation setups for one of our key applications (i.e. Automotive Car Radio).
The team is involved in all aspects of system application and validation activities for different projects within our organization that support traditional AM/FM and multiple digital radio standards. We bring together the firmware and hardware and proof this works as expected before it can be released to our customers. The team is working in close cooperation with marketing, system architect, development teams and other validation teams to achieve this.
What you'll do
Releasing products updates on IC & application levels suited for customer acceptance
Defining and developing explicit test cases aimed to fully cover all IC & system level requirements
Translating lengthy manual lab tests into repeatable, reliable and highly efficient automated validation environments tightly linked to test cases and their requirements.
Defining and developing embedded FW as part of the system use case validation.
Supporting the team with effective and efficient execution of tests on the system and reporting results to the team
Actively participate in system validation team. Reporting on key validation progress and issues.
Define and document the system validation use cases and accurately log results in project documentation and databases
What you'll bring
To be successful in this role you have:
Technical University (Masters or Bachelor) in Electrical Engineering
Broad interest in electronic design and validation
Experience (academical or internship) in (embedded ) SW development
Experiences in semiconductor or automotive industry with focus on system level behavior
Good knowledge of SW Engineering & Systems Development Lifecycle
Good programming skills (i.e LabVIEW-CLAD, TestStand, Python, C, C++)
Good spoken and written English skills
