For an international industrial production site in Leiden, we are looking for an experienced and highly independent Electrical Engineer. You will be responsible for the electrical installations on site and are expected to take full ownership after a short handover period. Work independently with LV electrical systems, switchgear, electrical panels, single-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, load lists and electrical calculations. Analyse and resolve electrical issues, understand short-circuit situations and protection principles, and take appropriate action when external support is required. Coordinate electrical work with contractors and other disciplines, including construction support, inspections, testing and commissioning. Become the sole electrical point of contact on site, working proactively and independently without direct electrical supervision.

BSc/MSc in Electrical Engineering or comparable technical degree. Strong practical knowledge of LV electrical systems, switchgear, electrical drawings and electrical calculations. Able to understand and explain short-circuit situations, protection and electrical distribution. Proven ability to work independently, take ownership and make technical decisions on site. Already based in the Netherlands and immediately available to start; valid work/residence status must be fully in order. When a specific assignment can be carried out by a freelancer (ZZP), we agree on a rate for independently performing the assignment for our client. In such cases, the client, the assignment, and the freelancer must meet certain conditions. In some instances, our client is looking for a candidate to join and expand their own organization.
