About the company
As an Integration Lead , you will make an impact by owning the integration architecture, delivery and run of approximately 45–55 interfaces connecting nCino, Brilliance and Taktile / Experian with the retained Pega, Java, Siebel.. You will be a valued member of the programme team and work collaboratively with the Programme Technical / Architecture Lead, a squad of integration developers, cross-vendor partners and the Design Authority governance board.
In this role, you will:
Define and own the end-to-end integration architecture and strategy on MuleSoft (API-led connectivity — system, process and experience APIs — and event-driven patterns). Establish reusable integration patterns, standards and a canonical data model, aligned with Rabobank enterprise architecture and governed by the Design Authority. Lead solution design and delivery for approximately 45–55 integrations across internal (core banking, CRM / Siebel, risk, pricing, data) and external platforms. Provide technical leadership, design and code reviews, and mentoring to integration developers. Own non-functional requirements: scalability, resilience, performance, security (OAuth2, mTLS, tokenisation), observability and error handling. Manage cross-vendor dependencies and technical alignment across the SI, Deloitte (implementation partner), nCino, Brilliance and Taktile / Experian. Drive DevOps maturity — CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, version control and release management for integration assets. Support data readiness, migration orchestration and reconciliation across the current and target landscapes. Plan and estimate integration work within an Agile / SAFe model; manage backlog, risks, issues and quality. Establish the integration run and support model, ensuring a smooth transition from build into a stable, maintainable operation. Report progress, risks and key technical decisions to programme leadership and architecture governance. Work model
We believe hybrid work is the way forward as we strive to provide flexibility wherever possible. Based on this role's business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring time in our Utrecht office. What you need to have to be considered 8+ years in enterprise integration, including 3+ years leading integration teams or squads. Proven delivery of large, complex, multi-vendor transformation programmes — ideally in financial services or lending. Expertise with the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform and API-led connectivity, including API Manager, Runtime Fabric / CloudHub, DataWeave and RAML / OpenAPI. Strong track record designing integrations across packaged platforms (e.g. Salesforce / nCino) and legacy technologies (e.g. Pega, Java), as well as across integration patterns such as REST / SOAP, event-driven and streaming (JMS, Kafka), messaging, batch and data integration. Proven command of security standards: OAuth2 / OIDC, mTLS, API policies, encryption and secrets management. Sound knowledge of enterprise-architecture concepts, canonical data modelling and API governance. Hands-on experience with DevOps tooling: Git, Maven, MUnit, Jenkins / Azure DevOps, and monitoring and observability practices. Strong technical leadership and decision-making capability; able to balance delivery pace with architectural integrity. Excellent stakeholder management across business, IT, architecture and vendors. Structured, outcome-driven, and comfortable operating where data, policy and architecture evolve in parallel. Coaching mindset with a proven ability to build high-performing, multidisciplinary teams.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent experience.
These will help you stand out MuleSoft Certified Integration Architect; TOGAF; or relevant Salesforce / nCino certifications. Experience with Pega, SAP and data-migration tooling. Familiarity with the lending / credit domain (origination, pricing, decisioning). SAFe / Agile certification.
