< Back Global Director People & Culture Job Type Full Time Workspace Utrecht Hybrid We are looking for a Global Director People & Culture to help build the organisation behind DVJ’s next phase of growth. Who are we? DVJ Insights is an ambitious, innovative and fast-growing global marketing research and analytics agency with offices in the Netherlands, the UK, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Germany and Spain. Our ambition is clear: to be the best global agency for brand growth – and the best place to work. With more than 120 passionate colleagues across Europe, we work for leading national and international brands. We are an informal, dynamic and entrepreneurial organisation, always aiming to deliver quality and added value. We believe that everyone at DVJ contributes to our growth. That is why we invest strongly in personal development, learning and career growth. As our organisation continues to develop internationally, the way we organise ourselves, develop our leaders and people, and build our culture becomes increasingly important. That is where you come in. What will you do as Global Director People & Culture? The success of DVJ will not be determined by technology, research methodologies or AI alone. It will also depend on our ability to build an organisation that continuously evolves alongside our strategy. As Global Director People & Culture, you are responsible for building that organisation. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you translate DVJ’s business strategy into the organisational capabilities, leadership, culture and people practices needed for sustainable international growth. You act as the strategic owner of People & Culture across DVJ and work closely with the Board. You are part of the Management Team and work with all leaders across our different markets. Your responsibilities include: Shape the organisation for future growth – help evolve DVJ’s organisational structure as we grow internationally, ensuring we remain agile, scalable and able to turn our ambitions into action. Build our future People Strategy – translate DVJ’s growth ambitions into a forward-looking people agenda, anticipating the talent, skills and capabilities we will need in the years ahead. Develop great leaders – further strengthen our leadership philosophy and work closely with directors and managers to help them grow as leaders, build strong teams and create an environment in which people can perform at their best. Create opportunities for people to grow – develop clear career and development paths, succession planning and continuous learning, including the further development of the DVJ Academy. ·Strengthen our culture as we scale – protect and develop the qualities that make DVJ a great place to work, while building a culture of ownership, positivity, collaboration, learning and continuous improvement across countries and teams. Create an outstanding employee experience – continuously improve the employee journey, from joining and developing at DVJ through to career progression, engagement and retention. Drive engagement and wellbeing – use employee feedback, people insights and organisational data to understand what our people need and translate this into meaningful improvements in engagement, wellbeing and retention. Build fair and consistent People practices internationally – develop clear principles for compensation & benefits, employment practices and People policies that provide consistency across DVJ while recognising relevant local differences. Ensure responsible employment – safeguard high standards as an international employer, ensuring our People practices meet relevant employment, privacy, health & safety and other employer requirements across the countries in which we operate. Turn People data into insight and action – use People analytics to identify trends, support better organisational decisions and provide relevant reporting on our people, culture and responsible-employment commitments. You will be supported by our HR Business Partner, while your own focus will primarily be on strategy, organisational development, leadership and building the People capability for the future. What do you bring? You are an experienced People leader who understands that People & Culture is not simply an HR function, but an important driver of business performance and sustainable growth. You combine strategic thinking with pragmatism. You enjoy building and improving organisations, developing leaders and creating the conditions in which talented people can perform at their best. Most importantly, you have experience and knowledge like: Significant experience in a senior People, HR, Organisation Development or comparable leadership role. Experience working within an international and multi-country organisation. Strong experience with organisational development, organisational design and change. Experience developing and implementing a People Strategy aligned with business strategy. A strong track record in leadership and capability development. Experience advising, challenging and coaching senior leaders and management teams. A solid understanding of employer governance, employment practices and international HR. Experience using people analytics and organisational insights to support strategic decision-making. The ability to balance business performance with employee wellbeing and entrepreneurship with governance. A proactive and pragmatic mindset: you are comfortable developing strategy but equally focused on making sure it is implemented. Excellent communication skills in English. Dutch is an advantage. Most importantly, you are someone who enjoys building. You do not simply maintain existing HR processes; you continuously ask what the organisation will need next and help make that happen. What do we offer? A challenging and influential leadership role within an innovative, successful and internationally growing organisation. You will have the opportunity to shape how DVJ develops as an organisation and play an important role in achieving our ambition to be both the best agency and the best place to work. Besides that, you can expect: A strategic position with direct impact on DVJ’s future organisation and international growth. An international, dynamic and informal working environment, surrounded by passionate professionals. 27 paid vacation days, plus 24 and 31 December off, a Powder Day (to spend doing what you enjoy most), and your birthday off. The opportunity to work from abroad for up to three weeks per year. A travel allowance and pension scheme. A monthly wellbeing allowance to support your physical and mental wellbeing. Our Dutch office is based in Utrecht, with an expectation to work from the office at least two days per week What will success look like? You will be successful when DVJ has the organisational capabilities needed for its next phase of growth: the right organisation, the right people and capabilities, strong leadership, an engaged culture and the governance required to grow responsibly. You help us build an organisation where talented people continuously learn, grow and perform at their best. Do you have any questions?
