IT Platform Engineer – Python & Azure

Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands

Experience: 8–10 Years

Design, develop, test, and maintain reliable software applications using Python.

Work with Azure Cloud services, including storage, access management, and networking.

Apply object-oriented programming, SOLID principles, and design patterns.

Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.

Work with SQL and NoSQL databases.

Contribute to data governance practices and platform solutions.

Support DevOps and CI/CD activities.

Apply Domain-Driven Design (DDD) principles.

Write unit tests and use mocking frameworks.

Collaborate with teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Essential Skills & Experience

8–10 years of professional experience in software engineering or platform engineering.

Strong hands-on experience with Python.

Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming, analysis, and design.

Proven expertise with Azure Cloud services, including storage, access management, and networking.

Knowledge of Data Governance practices, such as Unity Catalog.

Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.

Knowledge of Cosmos DB is an advantage.

Strong experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code.

Good understanding of DevOps and CI/CD principles.

Experience applying SOLID principles and design patterns.

Experience with Domain-Driven Design (DDD).

Familiarity with pytest and mocking libraries.

Knowledge of Kubernetes is desirable.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience across the complete software development lifecycle, including planning, design, development, testing, and automated deployment.

You will work with Azure Cloud, infrastructure automation, databases, and modern software engineering practices to develop reliable and scalable solutions.
