The breakfast buffet at Le Camelia brings together all the international influences that Hotel Okura Amsterdam has to offer. Roomservice brings this ultimate experience to you in the comfort and privacy of your own room. As a Camelia & Roomservice trainee, you will have the opportunity to take a look behind the scenes of the largest F&B hotel in the Netherlands. Amongst other tasks, you will be responsible for welcoming and guiding guests and providing service at a high level. During this internship, you will learn all aspects of the F&B departments. Your main tasks will be: Operational tasks, including advising guests on menu choices, serving dishes and serving our guests during their stay at Hotel Okura Amsterdam according to the standards set by the hotel (in accordance with The Leading Hotels of the World standards); Maintaining excellent contact with guests; Performing mise en place activities; Following guidelines regarding safety, occupational health and safety, hygiene and HACCP; Working in a multicultural environment at a high level. You will work in shifts throughout 7 days per week, with working hours from 06:00 – 14:00, 07:00 – 15:00 or 15:00 – 23:00. You will work 5 days per week, 7.6 hours per day. You are also available to work on public holidays. It is possible to work on your thesis or school assignments one day per week.

Of course, we are first and foremost interested in you and how we can provide you with the best internship experience. In addition, we expect the following from you: You are a student at one of the (hotel) schools in the Netherlands; You are hospitable, representative and have an eye for detail; You are flexible in regards to working days and hours; You live in the immediate surroundings of Amsterdam; You have a passion for hospitality and would like to learn more about it; You have an excellent command of the Dutch and/or English language, both spoken and written.
