BIM Engineer (Water and Maritime –Senior)

We are seeking a highly motivated and talented BIM Engineer- Senior (Water and Maritime) with a passion for civil engineering, data, programming, and automation to join our team. The ideal candidate has a strong background in water & maritime projects and has the desire to use data, programming, and automation to improve civil engineering design and construction processes. This role offers strong professional growth, including the opportunity to take on broader coordination responsibilities and, over time, support team leadership depending on performance and project needs.

Utilizing civil engineering domain knowledge and digital skills will be your bread and butter in your day-to-day activities. You will be involved in design activities such as: BIM models for civil engineering designs, ranging from ports to land reclamation to river protection works creating and analysing spatial data sets using GIS creating and managing Civil3D models creating and analysing datasets of engineering and construction projects to allow our engineers and managers to make an informed decision is part of your work automating engineering and construction management processes ensure that project goals align with the overall vision and coordinate the BIM team involved in your projects, with the expectation that you will gradually take on increased coordination responsibilities and support team development as you grow in the role establish coordination workflows based on project timelines and objectives define and verify model levels of detail and related drawings perform and oversee QA/QC reviews of modelling work completed by the team, including model accuracy, consistency, coordination, clash resolution, and compliance with project standards manage assigned internal projects, including scope, programme, budget, resources, risks, deliverables, coordination, and stakeholder communication manage geometric and information interferences within the models foster collaboration among team members facilitate communication and address any conflicts promptly leverage your knowledge of various Autodesk software, especially Civil3D, to enhance the project At Haskoning, we are committed to your development to become a BIM Engineer (Water and Maritime – Senior) equipped with the necessary skill set to service the increasing digital scope of our projects. You are highly motivated, quick learning, and you have a passion for civil engineering. You are keen for possibilities to automate/standardize existing engineering processes and you are willing to take up the discussion with the engineers and project managers who have ownership of these processes. Requirements: bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or other relevant degrees minimum 10 years of relevant working experience strong understanding of civil engineering principles and design concepts experience or willing to learn programming languages such as Python and MATLAB experience and affinity in working with data (and databases) is a must familiarity with Civil Engineering software such as Civil 3D, InfraWorks, and other Autodesk Sofware proven experience in QA/QC of BIM and Civil 3D models, drawings, and related digital deliverables project management experience, preferably involving internal or multidisciplinary infrastructure projects experience and affinity in working with Geographic Information System (GIS) strong problem-solving and analytical skills excellent written and verbal communication skills strong teamwork and collaboration abilities ability to coordinate with the teams, take ownership of deliverables, and support both project execution and team development Personal skills accurate and strong attention to detail ability to multitask and manage time effectively understanding of time and deliverable management ability to coordinate BIM Design teams innovator at looking for solutions to problems takes ownership of task delivery from start to finish, asking for assistance when needed ability to communicate well and share skills with colleagues promotes an inclusive and positive environment for the team promotes and uses a Digital Way of Working in execution of tasks
