Programme architect ERP

Do you want to play a key role in one of the largest digital transformations within Tata Steel Netherlands? As programme architect ERP, you help shape the future ERP landscape and provide architectural leadership for our SAP S/4HANA transformation. You work at the intersection of business, technology and strategy, ensuring our ERP environment is future-proof, secure and aligned with business objectives.

As programme architect ERP, you are responsible for the end-to-end architecture of the SAP S/4HANA programme. You translate business ambitions into a clear architectural direction and ensure consistency across Value Streams, processes, data, integrations and platforms. By connecting stakeholders, architects and implementation partners, you help deliver a coherent and sustainable target landscape.

As a programme architect ERP at Tata Steel...

Own the programme architecture. You define and maintain the target architecture, architecture principles and transition roadmap from SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA.

Provide architectural leadership. You guide programme teams, senior stakeholders and implementation partners in applying the agreed architecture standards and best practices.

Safeguard quality and consistency. Acting as the architectural gatekeeper, you review solution proposals, manage architectural risks and ensure alignment with enterprise standards, security requirements and Clean Core principles.

Drive delivery assurance. You support design reviews, testing, cutover activities and go-live readiness while ensuring operational requirements such as performance, resilience and supportability are fully addressed.

Coordinate across teams. You work closely with Value Stream Architects, Solution Architects and delivery teams to resolve cross-functional dependencies and maintain alignment across the programme.

You are able to combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution. You enjoy operating in a complex environment where you connect business needs and technology solutions while influencing stakeholders at all levels of the organization. You are decisive, collaborative and comfortable making enterprise-wide architectural decisions. In addition, you have:

A Master's degree in a relevant field, or equivalent professional experience.

Extensive experience as a Programme Architect, Enterprise Architect, Domain Architect or Lead Solution Architect within large SAP transformation programmes.

Proven experience with SAP S/4HANA implementations from strategy and target-state design through build, testing, cutover and go-live.

Strong knowledge of SAP architecture across functional domains, integrations, data models, authorizations and non-functional requirements.

Experience with SAP Clean Core principles, extension strategies and integration approaches, preferably including SAP BTP.

Knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks, governance models and Agile/DevOps ways of working.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills in English. Knowledge of Dutch is considered an advantage.

A salary between € 5.052,58 and € 9.958,58 gross per month, depending on experience, plus profit sharing.

A minimum of 29 vacation days and 11.5 ADV days.

An 8% holiday allowance and 2% year-end bonus.

You will become part of the IT Applications & Transformation department within Digital Technologies. In this role, you connect Programme Reforge, the Value Streams and Enterprise Architecture to ensure a consistent architectural direction across the SAP S/4HANA transformation.

You work closely with the IT Programme Manager, Senior Management, Value Stream Owners, Product Owners, key business users and external implementation partners. Reporting to the Head of the Value Stream Architecture Team, you set the architectural direction at programme level while supporting teams in delivering scalable, secure and future-proof solutions. Together, you help shape the digital future of Tata Steel Netherlands.
