Community & Events Coordinator - QDNL Delft - (short term opportunity) Help shape the future of quantum innovation in Europe!

South Holland is home to two vibrant quantum hubs, Delft and Leiden, which both are part of the national QDNL community. Together with Innovation Quarter, these hubs are fostering a dynamic ecosystem for quantum technology. To support this growth, we are seeking a Quantum Ecosystem Development Lead to join the Delft team. As Community & Events Coordinator you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering community and ecosystem events in Delft. Acting as the main point of contact for visiting delegations and stakeholders, the role ensures the successful Organisation of events, supports community engagement activities, and helps strengthen collaboration across the Delft quantum ecosystem Key responsibilities: Serve as the lead point of contact for quantum ecosystem events and visiting delegations to TU Delft, QuTech, QDNL, House of Quantum, and QDNL Delft. Coordinate QDNL Delft's involvement in events, including scheduling hosts, arranging catering, and organizing company pitches. Manage and supervise 1–2 student assistants. Collaborate with the communications team to promote events and community activities. Represent QDNL Delft in House of Quantum team meetings and help align building activities with community initiatives. Lead the organization and delivery of monthly community events. Support the planning and execution of the annual flagship community event on 27 October. Contribute to fostering an active, connected, and engaged quantum community in Delft.

This temporary replacement role requires availability to start on 1 November 2026. Please note that the start date is fixed and cannot be adjusted. We are looking for a proactive and positive individual with strong organisational skills, a hands-on mindset, and the ability to make things happen. The ideal candidate has proven experience in event management coordinating events and activities from A to Z. Someone comfortable managing multiple stakeholders, coordinating logistics, and ensuring every detail is executed successfully. Experience coordinating events, community programs, office operations, or stakeholder engagement activities. Strong organizational and administrative skills with excellent attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple activities simultaneously and follow through on commitments. Comfortable working with a broad range of stakeholders, visitors, partners, and community members. Proactive, dependable, and able to work independently with limited supervision. Strong communication skills in English.

As a Community & Events Coordinator you will receive a six months temporary contract via FlexDelft organization. The position is classified in Scale 8 of the Collective Labor Agreement for Dutch Universities (CAO NU) and is based on the Project Leader 3 (UFO) profile. The gross monthly salary ranges from €3537 to €4673 based on a full-time appointment (38 hours per week). You will have the choice to work either 32h or 38h per week in a dynamic, international, and inclusive environment.
