Apply to Production Work Planner – Steel Construction Rotterdam Area Contracting For one of our clients with leading projects within the offshore renewable wind industry and the oil & gas industry, we are looking for a Production Work Planner –Steel Construction. In this role, you play an important role in preparing our projects for safe, efficient and high-quality execution in the workshop. From the initial production preparations through to completion, you are closely involved in the entire production process. We are currently looking for two Production Work Planners and are open to candidates at both junior and senior level. What will you do? You translate engineering documentation into a practical and manufacturable production approach and ensure that all necessary preparations are in place before work starts in the workshop. Depending on your experience and level of seniority, your responsibilities include: · Translating engineering documentation into a practical production approach; · Preparing Material Take Offs (MTOs) and supporting material procurement; · Coordinating workshop drawings and preparing as-built documentation; · Preparing work instructions and technical documentation; · Coordinating construction methods, schedules, workshop layouts and scaffolding plans with Production; · Preparing and coordinating lifting, turning and transport plans; · Monitoring progress, budgets, deviations and additional or reduced work; · Preparing and discussing technical queries with clients and suppliers; · Coordinating and supervising outsourced work and subcontractors; · Working closely with Quality Control to ensure compliance with quality requirements and preservation specifications; · Depending on your experience, supporting and guiding junior work planners, interns and temporary employees. Who are we looking for? You are technically minded, well organised and able to maintain an overview in a dynamic project environment. You communicate easily with different disciplines and stakeholders and take a proactive approach to solving technical and organisational challenges. You also bring: · A completed technical education at MBO or HBO level, preferably in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering or a comparable technical field; · An interest in steel construction, offshore fabrication or heavy construction; · Knowledge of fabrication processes, construction drawings and materials, or the motivation to develop this knowledge; · A structured, proactive and solution-oriented way of working; · Good communication skills in both Dutch and English . For a junior position, relevant internships, technical production experience or experience in a project environment are an advantage. For a more senior position, we are looking for several years of relevant experience in work preparation within steel construction, offshore, heavy fabrication or a comparable technical environment, including experience with project progress and budget control.
