About the role

As a Medior Air Traffic Management and Airside Systems Engineer , you will work on some of the world's most complex airport projects, helping to design the Air Traffic Management and airside systems that keep airports operating safely and efficiently. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and international clients, applying your expertise to projects ranging from new airport developments to major expansions and modernisation programmes.

What you'll do

You will join our Air Traffic Management (ATM) Systems and Airside Systems team . As an engineering consultant, you apply your knowledge of electronic and telecommunications systems and processes as an engineering consultant, supporting the wider team with your expertise and contributing directly to multidisciplinary airport projects around the world. As a member of our team, you will: Assist in the study, design and delivery of systems projects, taking responsibility for project outputs and deliverables. Support multidisciplinary airport design projects, working closely with airside civil, architectural, structural, electrical and building services disciplines. Typical activities include: Preparing specifications, drawings, tender documents and cost estimates; Providing construction-stage support, conducting design reviews, site inspections, testing and commissioning activities; Engaging with clients, contractors, suppliers and aviation authorities; Defining the integration of ATM systems within control towers, technical buildings, equipment shelters, ducting networks, power systems and wider airside infrastructure. Help grow our ATM solutions business and contribute to the further development of our ATM capabilities. Develop and expand our expertise in the field of ATM and Airfield Systems. Produce functional and technical designs, including specifications, reports and design drawings, for systems such as Navigational Aids, Aeronautical and Air Traffic Control Systems, Airside Communication Systems and Meteorological Systems. This includes defining locations for Navigational Aids (such as Instrument Landing Systems), radio antennae (for VHF, HF and radar systems) and other ATM equipment across the airport environment. You will also contribute to interface control design, system architecture development, connection diagrams and related technical documentation. Support the development of Aeronautical and ATM strategies and provide input to airport master planning projects. Provide technical or advisory support on other airport systems, including ICT-related systems, where appropriate. Contribute to proposals, tenders and bids for new projects. Study and apply relevant international standards and regulations, including ICAO, EUROCONTROL and FAA requirements. Stay up to date with the latest developments in airport systems, ATM and related technologies.

What you'll bring

Working in multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary teams spread across different countries and time zones is no problem for you. You have a knack for consultancy design work on systems and would like to further explore this domain in the world of aviation and further professionalize yourself. Besides that, you have: A relevant Bachelor (at HBO or WO level) or Masters degree in Electrical and Electronics, Telecommunications, ICT Engineering, Aeronautical (for Aerodromes) Systems or similar related Engineering. An affinity for the Telecommunications/ICT/Aeronautical engineering domain with some (approximately 2 to 5 years) experience in aviation is ideal. Good spoken and written communication skills in English; additional languages will be considered a plus. Previous experience in ATM/Aeronautical Systems (such as navigational aids, air traffic control systems etc.), airspace design or with telecommunication systems (radio, control and instrumentation, ICT or similar) related to aviation. Previous experience in Systems designs/consultancy and/or construction related to aviation with air traffic management experience considered a bonus.
