About the role

Supply Engineer Contract: Temporary maternity leave cover, expected from mid-January to mid-July Experience: 3+ years supply planning experience, with SAP and MRP fluency Location: Belgium or the Netherlands

As this a temporary maternity leave cover (expected to run from mid-January to mid-July), we'll need you step into a role with real ownership from the start, future-proofing Loop’s physical product supply across suppliers, categories, and geographies. You’ll connect Demand Planning, Procurement, S&I, and Quality, turning forecasts, constraints, and supplier signals into clear supply decisions. When ambiguity or disruption hits, you bring solutions forward, not just issues.

What you'll do

You own integrated supply planning across suppliers, categories, and geographies, aligning mid- to long-range supply capabilities with business forecasts. You shape the supply-side response in S&OP, building what-if scenarios for demand surges, line-down events, capacity shifts, and other changing business needs. You model long-lead-time components, including import timelines, storage constraints, and safety stock logic, within the MRP system. You raise the bar on supplier performance, using measures such as capacity utilization, schedule adherence, and logistics throughput to identify where action is needed. You spot supplier bottlenecks and readiness gaps early, then work with Procurement and S&I to build practical solutions that unlock capacity for growth. You execute supply plans across multiple sourcing nodes, flag capacity risks, and support dual-sourcing implementation with S&I and Procurement. You own SAP planning parameters and data health across the product portfolio, building more automated, exception-based ways of working. You build forecasting tools, alerts, and dashboards that improve visibility, speed, and accuracy across supply planning.

wait for endless approvals before bringing a solution forward. hide behind processes when the supply plan needs action. pass accountability to others when supplier issues get difficult. talk about AI without practicing it in your workflow.

What you'll bring

You bring deep supply planning expertise, including expert-level fluency in SAP, MRP logic, and end-to-end supply planning. You have advanced modeling skills across capacity planning, lead-time optimization, and scenario forecasting. You can design complex what-if scenarios and apply constraint-based thinking when the answer is not obvious. You solve problems at the root, working with suppliers and internal teams to create systemic solutions instead of repeatedly fighting the same fires. You build strong partnerships across Procurement, S&I, Quality, Demand Planning, and Inventory Planning, and you speak up when risks, capacity, or timing need attention. You work independently, move with urgency, and know when a decision or trade-off needs others involved. You’re comfortable operating through ambiguity, constraint, change, and growth. You use AI regularly and intentionally where it can improve the quality, output, experience, or decisions behind your work. You build repeatable workflows where they add value, critically check outputs against the right standard, and stay accountable for everything you ship. We’ll explore how you use AI, and the judgment you apply to its outputs, during the interview process. Loop isn’t for everyone. We might not be a match if you: Wait for direction instead of taking initiative. Mistake activity for impact. Feel uneasy when things are still taking shape. Prefer alignment meetings over decisions.

Nice to have

We look for people who think big, stay curious, and aren’t afraid to go all in to make things happen. You’ll succeed by creating a supply plan the business can rely on, making smart trade-offs when conditions change, and building planning processes that scale with Loop. You’ll improve the reliability of the committed supply plan while reducing the need for late-stage expedites. You’ll identify and implement planning improvements that make our supply chain more efficient and cost-conscious. And when supplier issues arise, you’ll take ownership, working directly with suppliers and internal partners to resolve problems before they need leadership escalation. You’ll own supply-side scenario design within S&OP, escalating structural trade-offs to the Supply Chain Manager when needed. You’ll govern MRP parameters and logic within SAP for your assigned categories and recommend how supply should be reallocated across SKUs, regions, or channels during periods of disruption or constraint, in partnership with Procurement.
