Open role
Digital Accessibility Expert
Lynx B.V.
About the role
Digital Accessibility Expert
As Digital Accessibility Expert, you make sure our financial platforms are legally secure, work well and are fully inclusive for everyone.
You guide, measure and train cross-functional teams to turn regulatory requirements, in particular the European Accessibility Act (EAA), into reliable and repeatable product outcomes.
You go beyond dry rules and focus on the human side of inclusion, so that we reduce operational risk, avoid remediation costs and build trust with our clients across our digital channels.
What you'll do
• Act as the organisational anchor for our European Accessibility Act (EAA) compliance strategy across all web and mobile properties.
• Carry out expert-level WCAG audits and act as the authority for accessibility sign-off.
• Design and deliver engaging training programmes for the different roles in the organisation, and build a network of accessibility champions.
• Set up and oversee digital governance: review gates, exception workflows and SLAs, so that no major release goes live without meeting our inclusion and compliance benchmarks.
• Review and update our EAA policy.
• Help Procurement contract external vendors that deliver accessible products.
• Take care of notifications and communication to regulators and governing bodies, including the mandatory accessibility statements.
• Set up KPIs and executive dashboards to track the digital accessibility maturity of the organisation.
• Work with engineering and design to find barriers early and fix them during development, and embed accessible, reusable components in our central component library.
What you'll bring
• At least 5 years of practical, hands-on experience driving digital accessibility and compliance initiatives in a complex digital product environment.
• Mastery of EN 301 549 and WCAG, and a strong understanding of Design for All principles (such as the European Design for All standard or ISO 30071-1).
• A solid grasp of EU digital legal aspects, compliance monitoring and the operational requirements of the European Accessibility Act.
• Excellent communication skills in English: you can explain technical regulation in plain language and influence stakeholders without authority.
• The patient heart of a teacher: you coach and train different roles, and you make inclusive design a natural habit from concept to launch.
• A systems thinker who scales inclusive practices by building them into reusable accessible code.
• A strong problem solver who runs rigorous audits, finds the barriers and agrees practical fixes with engineering and design.
Nice to have
• A Bachelor’s degree in digital marketing, Information Technology, Business Administration or a related field.
• A background in front-end development and design.
• Knowledge of semantic HTML, CSS, browser behaviour and assistive technologies, and working familiarity with modern JavaScript frameworks.
What's on offer
• A competitive salary based on experience.
• Flexible working hours at our office in the heart of the city.
• A fixed 13th-month salary.
• Pension scheme.
• Travel expense reimbursement.
• An annual training budget of €2,000, freely allocated to your professional development.
• Team outings, social drinks, and an annual weekend trip with the entire team.
