Technical Buyer

Technical sourcing & purchasing

Translate engineering drawings and specifications into clear supplier requests

Request, evaluate and compare quotations (technical and commercial)

Place purchase orders and manage the full procurement cycle Supplier selection & management

Select and qualify suppliers based on:

technical capability

quality

cost and delivery performance

Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers

Act as first point of contact for supplier issues and coordination Engineering & production interface

Work closely with Engineering to:

assess manufacturability

support make-or-buy decisions

Align with Production on delivery needs and priorities Performance & improvement

Monitor supplier performance (quality, lead time, reliability)

Identify opportunities for:

cost reduction

lead time improvement

process optimalisation

Your luggage

MBO+ education in a technical or supply chain related field

2-4 years of experience in technical purchasing or a similar role

Strong ability to read and understand technical drawings and specifications

Affinity with manufacturing processes (machining, composites or similar)

Good negotiation and communication skills

Analytical mindset and structured way of working

Proficiency in English and/or Dutch

Experience with ERP systems is a plus

Working Conditions

A one-year contract (32-40 hours) with prospect to permanent employment
