Lead Inspection Coordinator to lead inspection coordination activities across project supply chains, ensuring equipment, materials, vendors, and processes meet quality, safety, and regulatory requirements. -
What you'll do
Lead the development and implementation of inspection plans and schedules in line with project requirements, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. Manage inspection coordination with internal project teams, suppliers, contractors, third-party inspectors, and regulatory bodies. Oversee vendor and supplier inspection processes to ensure compliance with project standards, quality requirements, and contractual obligations. Lead the maintenance of inspection documentation, including inspection reports, certificates, quality records, and non-conformance reports. Monitor compliance across inspection, testing, commissioning, and monitoring activities. Lead the identification, documentation, and resolution of non-conformances, quality issues, and inspection findings. Provide regular updates to project management, QA/QC teams, supply chain teams, and other stakeholders on inspection status, risks, and key findings. Liaise with vendors, suppliers, and contractors to ensure inspection requirements are clearly understood and properly executed. Work closely with procurement, expediting, package management, and quality teams to support smooth project delivery. Conduct training sessions for inspection teams on inspection protocols, quality standards, and project-specific requirements. Mentor and support Inspection Coordinators, monitor team activities, and provide guidance where needed. Contribute to reporting, process improvements, and continuous optimisation of inspection coordination and vendor follow-up processes.
What you'll bring
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related technical field. Relevant certifications in inspection, quality assurance, or quality control are considered an advantage. Proven track record in leading inspection coordination activities within the oil & gas industry or a similar project-driven industry. Strong experience with vendor coordination, purchasing processes, expediting, package management, or supplier follow-up. Strong knowledge of industry standards, regulatory requirements, quality control plans, and inspection procedures. Experience coordinating with third-party inspectors, suppliers, contractors, regulatory bodies, and internal project stakeholders. Good understanding of inspection, testing, commissioning, monitoring, non-conformance management, and compliance follow-up. Experience mentoring or guiding inspection coordinators, inspectors, or quality-related project teams. Strong analytical and reporting skills, with the ability to provide clear inspection status updates and identify risks or bottlenecks. Knowledge of inspection management software and Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple inspection activities, priorities, and deadlines. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability ti influence and align internal and external stakeholders. Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to lead issue resolution in a structured and practical way. Able to work under pressure and meet tight project deadlines.
