Open role
Systems and Processes Intern (all genders) in Amsterdam
emTransit B.V.
About the role
Dott's Finance Systems & Processes team keeps the finance function running across 28 entities — managing the systems, integrations, and processes behind accounting, payments, and reporting. As our intern, you'll play a key role in building the knowledge foundation of the team: turning scattered documentation into a clear, structured, and genuinely useful internal wiki. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys bringing order to complexity. You'll work directly with the Head of Systems & Process and gain real exposure to enterprise finance systems (NetSuite, Payhawk, and others) and how a modern, multi-entity finance operation actually works. Duration: 3–6 months Working hours: 20 hours per week (part-time) Salary: 300EUR/month
What you'll do
Build and structure our internal Finance Systems wiki on Google Sites — designing the layout, navigation, and content architecture so finance staff can quickly find what they need Review, clean up, and migrate existing documentation (process guides, system articles, how-tos) into the new wiki, ensuring consistency in format, tone, and accuracy Interview team members and process owners to capture undocumented knowledge and turn it into clear, structured articles Map finance processes and workflows, documenting how systems, teams, and data connect Identify gaps, duplicates, and outdated content in the current knowledge base and propose improvements Support the team with ad-hoc business analysis tasks: gathering requirements, structuring information, and preparing materials for stakeholders What We're Looking For Currently enrolled in a university programme (Business Administration, Information Systems, Business Analysis, or a related field) A genuine interest in business analysis — you like understanding how processes work and explaining them clearly Exceptional attention to detail — you notice the inconsistent heading, the broken link, the step that doesn't match reality Dedicated and self-driven — you take ownership of your work and follow through without needing constant supervision Strong written communication skills in English — you can turn messy input into clear, structured documentation Comfortable with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Sites); experience with any documentation or wiki tools is a plus Curiosity about finance systems and processes — no prior ERP experience required, we'll teach you What You'll Gain Hands-on experience with enterprise finance systems in a real multi-entity, international environment Practical business analysis skills: process mapping, requirements gathering, stakeholder interviews Ownership of a visible, lasting deliverable — the wiki you build will be used by the whole finance organisation Mentorship from an experienced finance systems professional and exposure to cross-functional finance teams
