What you'll do
Fashion for Good seeks a Materials Validation Intern to join the Innovation Platform. You will contribute to scouting, assessing, validating, sustainable innovations in the materials space. This internship offers exposure to diverse projects, and will focus on next-gen materials and circularity solutions. The role will have exposure to the following areas: Research & Analysis
Conduct deep-dive industry research into circularity, recycling and next-generation material innovations.
Develop and update landscapes and reports with up-to-date news, insights, and emerging innovations across materials and recycling
Scout for new innovations in these areas and support assessment according to Fashion for Good’s due diligence framework, evaluating technology readiness, market traction, impact, capacity, financial history and projections, liquidity/runway, business models, and pricing. Project Support
Support project teams with daily project management tasks across Materials Validation
Assist during meetings by synthesising learnings.
Track timelines, deadlines, and milestones for multiple projects.
Edit, create, and design engaging collaterals with relevant visuals.
What you'll bring
The ideal candidate has a relevant track record and combines strong interpersonal skills with a self-starting, proactive attitude. Candidates with the following skillsets will be preferred:
Strong analytical, research and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Good understanding of the textile manufacturing & the fashion industry
Excellent organisational and time management skills
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Capacity to work in a demanding and multicultural environment
A pro-active, enthusiastic, can-do attitude and comfortable dealing with uncertainty
Strong G Suite knowledge and presentation skills The following experience is a plus: Relevant work in textile circularity, materials innovation, polymer science, textile engineering, chemistry or textiles manufacturing.
Currently enrolled in an academic degree (Bachelor (HBO), MBA or Masters), preferably in material science, chemistry or textile engineering.
Proficiency in English is a requirement.
In person based in Amsterdam. Note: Only students with an existing working permit for the EU are considered eligible candidates and you must be enrolled for the duration of your studies.
