We are looking for an experienced EHS Manager to join their team in Rotterdam. Job Profile for EHS Manager Responsibilities will include but not be limited to: Act as the primary point of contact for all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) matters on the project site Provide EHS guidance and support to the Project Manager, project team, and contractors, ensuring compliance with company, client, and legal requirements Develop, implement, and monitor project-specific EHS plans, policies, and procedures Promote a strong safety culture by driving EHS awareness, engagement, and best practices across the project Conduct site inspections, audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations, ensuring corrective actions are implemented Liaise with emergency services, regulatory authorities, clients, and internal EHS teams as required Support contractors in developing and implementing EHS plans that meet contractual and regulatory requirements Deliver EHS inductions, training, coaching, and mentoring to project personnel and contractors Monitor, analyse, and report on EHS performance, including incident reporting, action tracking, and injury and illness case management Facilitate EHS meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of project safety performance through the implementation of lessons learned and best practices Build effective working relationships with project stakeholders to ensure high standards of EHS compliance and operational excellence throughout the project lifecycle Candidate Profile for EHS Manager Must be fluent in Dutch and English, both written and spoken Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent EHS qualification Formal EHS certification is highly desirable Previous experience working on large-scale industrial construction projects Proven experience delivering full-cycle industrial construction projects within the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industry Experience working on brownfield construction projects Good understanding of logistics and transportation planning for the delivery of materials and equipment Experience managing site personnel, contractors, and subcontractors Strong knowledge of EHS legislation, standards, and regulations, including OSHA, Dutch legislation, EPA, DOT, and Drug & Alcohol programmes Proficient in reading P&IDs, Single Line Diagrams, and applying safe systems of work, including LOTO (Lockout/Tagout), Permit to Work (PTW), and SIMOPS (Simultaneous Operations) Experience conducting incident investigations and facilitating root cause analysis Strong knowledge of EHS management systems, construction processes, and associated operational risks Proven track record of leading EHS activities on complex industrial construction projects Hands-on experience implementing and managing EHS systems within the industrial gases, Oil & Gas, or Petrochemical sectors Ability to work effectively under pressure and make sound decisions in complex and fast-paced environments Excellent communication, leadership, coaching, and stakeholder management skills Strong commitment to promoting a positive safety culture and driving continuous improvement in EHS performance Flexible for occasional in-country travels for meetings What Our Client Offers 26 vacation days Shift Allowance Travel cost reimbursement Competitive salary Pension plan Employee Recognition and Referral Programs Already imagine yourself in this position?
