About the role
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who can join our Strategic Intelligence Data Science team within the Strategy & Corporate Development department, for a minimum of 6 months from August/September 2026 onwards.
The successful candidate will be part of Strategic Intelligence’s Data Science sub-team, contributing to the team's analytical activities and supporting the delivery of data-driven insights to senior stakeholders. Here are some examples of tasks and responsibilities:
Contributing to the monthly reporting tasks of the team. Maintaining and improving our team’s SQL Server database. Automating our reporting processes using SQL and R. Analysing and visualising data. Undertaking your own analyses to bring fresh insights/ideas to the team.
What you'll bring
Holds a BSc or MSc in a quantitative field (e.g. statistics, life/physical sciences, econometrics, data science). Fluent in English. Strong SQL skills are required. Knowledge of T-SQL and Microsoft SQL Server would be an advantage. Experience with Power BI dashboards is desirable. Knowledge of R or another programming language would be a bonus. Eligible to live and work in the Netherlands. Able to work 60% of the time in the Amsterdam office.
Have an inquisitive mindset. Be committed to finding better ways to do things. Work through problems by themselves, but is also not afraid to ask questions when stuck. Have an interest in data, automation, and data visualisation. Have solid organisation and communication skills.

The Strategy & Corporate Development (SCD) department supports the Management Board directly through market and portfolio insights, strategic initiatives, and product and service design. The Strategic Intelligence team within SCD is responsible for providing analytical insights as part of our strategy formulation and implementation.
