Permanent South America Nutreco Aquaculture Ecuador Quality Position: Quality Assurance Manager LATAM Company: Skretting – a Nutreco Company Location: Durán, Ecuador

Define and implement the regional strategy for Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, and Raw Material Quality , aligned with LATAM business objectives Lead and develop high-performance teams (QA, Regulatory, Raw Material Quality), ensuring strong structure and talent evolution Design, implement, and optimize quality management systems (HACCP, certifications, internal standards), ensuring regulatory compliance Lead internal and external audits, managing corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs) Oversee and ensure reliability of laboratory operations and quality analysis , enabling timely decision-making Manage raw material quality in coordination with Procurement, including supplier evaluation, qualification, and performance Work cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Procurement, and Operations to align quality, availability, and business needs Lead root cause analysis, incident management, and crisis response, minimizing operational and reputational risks Anticipate regulatory changes and manage relationships with authorities, certification bodies, and external stakeholders Ensure effective customer complaint management , strengthening trust and business reputation Develop and monitor KPIs through dashboards and data-driven decision making Promote a quality mindset culture , where quality is a shared organizational responsibility Act as a business partner , aligning quality with growth, competitiveness, and customer satisfaction objectives What you’ll need Education Degree in Engineering, Food Science, Biology, Chemistry, or related fields (Postgraduate degree is a plus) Experience +10 years in Quality Assurance / Regulatory / Food Safety Experience leading senior teams Background in industries such as: Food Agribusiness Feed / industrial production Experience implementing quality systems and certifications (HACCP, ISO, etc.) Key Knowledge Quality management, regulatory compliance, and audits Cross-functional collaboration with operations and supply chain Risk management and decision-making under pressure Strategic thinking Languages Advanced English (mandatory) Core Competencies Strategic thinking Leadership and influence Decision-making in complex environments Prioritization skills Results orientation Resilience What you will receive You will take on a highly strategic role, with direct impact on the business and the company’s evolution in the region.
