Business Development

We are seeking an experienced Business Development with strong commercial acumen and relationship-building capabilities to expand market presence, develop new business opportunities, and support sustainable growth for an international consulting company operating in the fields of environment, climate change adaptation, port infrastructure, and maritime services. This role serves as a bridge between market needs, clients, partners, and technical teams to identify , pursue, and convert opportunities into high-value consulting projects.

Research, identify, and develop new market opportunities in environment, climate change adaptation, port infrastructure, maritime services, water, and sustainable development. Build, maintain, and expand a network of clients, partners, and stakeholders, including government agencies, project owners, funding agencies, project developers, contractors, and consulting firms. Monitor market trends, policies, sector plans, funding sources, and competitor activities to recommend appropriate market approach strategies. Lead or support the preparation of proposals, tender documents, expressions of interest, capability statements, and client presentation materials. Work closely with local and international technical teams to ensure proposed solutions meet client needs and are technically feasible and commercially sound. Represent the company in client meetings, industry conferences, sector events, and networking activities to strengthen brand visibility and develop partnerships. Manage, update, and report on the business opportunity pipeline (CRM), client engagement progress, revenue forecasts, and market development indicators as required. Support post-award client relationship management to help identify follow-on opportunities and strengthen long-term collaboration.

Bachelor’s degree or higher in a field relevant to the position, such as Economics, Business Administration, Engineering, Environment, Climate Change, Maritime Studies, Port Management, Infrastructure, or a related discipline. A minimum of 8–10 years of experience in market development, business development, solution sales, client relationship management, or project consulting, preferably in technical consulting, environment, infrastructure, ports, maritime services, climate change adaptation, or sustainable development. Strong understanding of the Vietnamese and/or regional market, particularly opportunities related to environment, climate, port infrastructure, ODA funding, international funding agencies, and the public sector. Established network with clients, government authorities, investors, funding agencies, technical partners, or relevant industry stakeholders is a significant advantage. Experience in proposal development, tender documentation, public and private procurement processes, and coordination with technical teams to develop client solutions. Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively with multicultural teams and international experts. Strategic mindset, commercial awareness, proactive approach to identifying new opportunities, and ability to translate market intelligence into actionable plans. Fluency in English for professional purposes, including drafting documents, communicating with clients, and coordinating with international teams.
