Senior Design Engineer / Project Manager (Water Technology & Wastewater Treatment)

We are seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Senior Design Engineer / Project Manager to join our team and support the delivery of water, wastewater, drainage, and environmental infrastructure projects . The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, proven project management experience and the ability to work effectively with clients, international experts, contractors and other stakeholders.

Perform engineering design calculations for water supply, wastewater, and environmental infrastructure projects, including process design and pipeline/network design. Utilize Revit (MEP), Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and other 3D design tools to develop engineering drawings, BIM models, and hydraulic models. Prepare technical reports, including Pre-Feasibility Studies (Pre-FS), Investment Policy Proposals, Feasibility Studies (FS), supervision reports, project management reports, and other project documentation. Manage and coordinate projects in the fields of water technology, water supply, drainage, wastewater treatment, and environmental infrastructure. Support the preparation of technical proposals, tender documents, project execution plans, budgets, schedules, and resource plans. Manage the full project lifecycle, from project preparation, feasibility studies, design, procurement, and construction supervision through commissioning, testing, acceptance, and handover. Coordinate with local and international technical teams to review, quality assure, and finalize consultancy deliverables. Liaise directly with clients, government authorities, development partners, contractors, subconsultants, and other project stakeholders. Identify, monitor, and manage project risks, and proactively recommend mitigation measures to ensure successful project delivery. Support business development activities, client relationship management, and the expansion of project opportunities in the water and environmental sectors.

Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Water Supply and Sewerage Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, Water Technology, or a related discipline. A Master's degree or postgraduate qualification in engineering, project management, environmental engineering, water resources, or a related field is highly desirable. Professional design certification as required under Vietnamese regulations is preferred. Project management certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent are highly desirable. Minimum 8–10 years of professional experience in engineering design and project management for water treatment, water supply and drainage, infrastructure projects, or related fields. Experience managing consultancy assignments, engineering design, construction supervision, or contract management for water infrastructure or water/wastewater treatment plants. Experience with ODA- or IFI-funded projects is an advantage. Solid understanding of water and wastewater treatment processes, engineering design principles, Vietnamese technical regulations, and/or relevant international standards. Demonstrated ability to manage multidisciplinary teams, collaborate with international experts, and coordinate multiple stakeholders. Strong communication, negotiation, reporting, schedule management, cost management, and problem-solving skills. Proficient in English for technical communication, client meetings, report preparation, and contract documentation. Proficient in Revit (MEP), Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and relevant engineering software. Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required by project assignments.
