Aon's Strategy and Technology Group (STG) is seeking an experienced Senior Associate to join our strategy consulting team in Rotterdam. STG is Aon's global consulting and technology business passionate about insurance, reinsurance, and capital markets. You will work directly with CEOs, board members, business unit leaders, and investors on key strategic issues in the worldwide insurance sector. Using Aon's market-leading data, analytical capabilities, and extensive global network of industry experts, you will help clients make decisions that develop competitive positioning, growth paths, and long-term value creation. This role provides considerably greater responsibility than a typical consulting position at this level. You will lead project workstreams, manage client interactions, mentor junior team members, and contribute to business development efforts across the UK and EMEA region. The Opportunity As a Senior Associate, you will play a key role in delivering high-impact strategic advice to leading insurers, reinsurers, brokers, and investors. You will: Lead critical workstreams on sophisticated strategy engagements Serve as a trusted advisor to senior client collaborators Mentor and support junior consultants and analysts Drive sophisticated quantitative and qualitative analyses Translate complex findings into actionable executive recommendations Engage in proposal creation and client expansion initiatives Build long-term relationships across Aon's international client network Starting immediately, you will engage with board-level topics such as: Growth and market entry strategies Mergers, acquisitions, and private equity transactions Commercial due diligence and value creation plans Operating model transformation Digital, analytics, and technology-based business strategies Capital optimization and portfolio management Enterprise-wide transformation initiatives Responsibilities Client Delivery Direct project workstreams from hypothesis creation through to final suggestions Structure and solve highly complex strategic and financial problems Manage project teams and coordinate activities across multiple collaborators Present findings and recommendations to executive leadership teams Facilitate senior-level workshops and strategic discussions Ensure consistently high-quality client results Leadership & Development Guide and assist junior consultants and analysts Support capability building across the consulting team Contribute to thought leadership and intellectual capital development Business Development Support client relationship management activities Participate in proposal development and business growth efforts Find opportunities to deepen and expand client engagements International travel may represent approximately 15-25% of your time. Requirements We are looking for ambitious consultants who combine strong analytical capabilities with commercial competence and client-facing confidence.
