AI Solutions Architect

Full-time Hybrid Latitude is a Data & AI consulting firm building AI Agents & Interfaces for Europe’s leading organisations. We help organisations go beyond just using a chat interface, our goal is to infuse AI into the core workflows, systems, and decisions that define their business. As our AI Solutions Architect, you own the technical vision. You translate ambiguous business problems into robust, scalable architectures and set the standards our engineers build against. Depending on the engagement, this can mean designing a retrieval-augmented knowledge system, architecting agent workflows to automate internal tasks, or defining the technical blueprint for AI-first products. The right AI approach depends on the business need, and you are accountable for making sure it’s designed right, end-to-end. We mix and focus as well on integrating classic analytics solutions, from the right data infrastructure to Machine Learning models in production.

Own end-to-end solution architecture for AI systems powered by LLMs and external/internal data sources Architect and oversee classic ML solutions in production (feature pipelines, model serving, monitoring) alongside LLM-based systems Design RAG pipelines and knowledge architectures using embeddings, vector databases, and knowledge stores Architect AI agents and multi-agent systems that automate tasks, support users, or enhance creativity Define evaluation frameworks and guardrail strategies across criteria like hallucination, usefulness, latency, and safety Set the technical direction for our internal product LatitudeGPT, the AI interface layer for European businesses Make build-vs-buy and model selection decisions across open-source and hosted models (OpenAI, Claude, Mistral, Llama3, etc.) Design integration patterns across orchestrators like LangChain, Open WebUI, LiteLLM, and N8N Define cloud architecture and deployment standards Lead technical discovery and pre-sales with stakeholders and translate business needs into architecture decisions and roadmaps Establish data architecture and infrastructure patterns to reliably make data available for analysis Mentor engineers, review designs, and uphold technical quality across client and internal work

5+ years in backend, data engineering, ML, or architecture roles, with at least 2-3 years working directly with LLMs or AI applications Proven track record designing and shipping production-grade AI systems end-to-end Deep experience with cloud architecture, including containers, serverless, and cost/scaling trade-offs Strong grasp of data architecture, pipelines, and ETL/ELT design Strong Python foundation, with fluency in frameworks like FastAPI, LangChain, or equivalent Expertise in production LLM patterns (RAG, embeddings, vector stores like Qdrant or Weaviate) and their trade-offs Fluency with agentic AI tools (LangGraph, CrewAI, N8N, etc.) and workflow orchestration design Strong understanding of LLM evaluation, guardrails, and responsible AI practices Ability to lead technically while staying hands-on Consulting mindset: able to communicate architecture clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Experience with frontend frameworks (React or Next.js) to inform full-stack design decisions Strong command of infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, Pulumi, AWS CDK) Experience architecting integrations with third-party APIs, enterprise systems, or secure environments A background in technical leadership, team lead, or principal engineer roles Contributions to open-source LLM/AI projects, or a personal GitHub with interesting experiments
