About the role

As a Team Leader Assembly & Integration (AIT) at agap2, you take on the challenge within an international environment with a local focus. What you'll do

This is a leadership position with a strong technical foundation. You will be responsible for leading, coaching and developing the team while ensuring that assembly, integration and testing activities are planned and executed safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.

You will work closely with Project Leaders, Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Logistics and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and continuous improvement.

Lead, coach and develop a team of approximately 20–25 technical professionals.

Plan and allocate team resources based on project priorities, capacity and production requirements.

Coordinate assembly, integration and testing activities.

Monitor workload, progress, team performance and resource utilization.

Act as a key point of contact for project and operational stakeholders.

Identify bottlenecks and operational challenges and initiate corrective actions.

Lead and support continuous improvement and process optimization initiatives.

Translate technical challenges into practical and effective solutions.

Support the professional development of team members through coaching, feedback and performance management.

Collaborate closely with Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Work Preparation, Quality and Logistics.

Contribute to departmental planning and operational improvements.

Ensure activities are performed according to applicable quality, safety and industry standards.

What you'll bring

You are an experienced people manager with a technical background and a strong understanding of production, assembly or manufacturing environments.

A Bachelor's degree (HBO) or MBO+ in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechatronics or a related technical discipline.

At least 5 years of relevant professional experience; 8–10 years is preferred.

Proven leadership or people-management experience within a technical, production or manufacturing environment.

Hands-on technical experience and the ability to understand technical challenges and translate them into practical solutions.

Experience within aerospace, aviation, space, defense or another high-tech manufacturing environment.

Experience leading process improvement or continuous improvement initiatives.

A strong continuous improvement mindset; Lean or Six Sigma experience is an advantage.

Experience with SAP or another ERP system is an advantage.

Strong planning, organizational and problem-solving skills.

A proactive, decisive and solution-oriented leadership style.

Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English.

The ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders in a complex technical environment.
