Senior Back-end Developer

As a Senior Backend Developer, you'll join an experienced team to create applications for TV, video and gaming that can handle millions of concurrent users. You'll design and develop high-volume, low-latency products and deliver high-availability and performance.

Make a point of keeping up to date with the latest technologies Have a degree or are very knowledgeable in computer science or a related field (BSc or MSc) Are familiar with or interested in learning to work with Java, Guice, Jetty, Jenkins, Maven, JUnit, MongoDB/NoSQL, various cloud services, and anything else we may throw your way! Have experience building scalable and highly reliable backend solutions for gaming, video or streaming applications Are comfortable making important technical decisions based on data, autonomously Are consistent in creating of high quality code, based on coding standards and best practices Are accustomed to using automated testing techniques to do the heavy lifting for you, and have experience with complex deployments using continuous delivery and integration Are excited about the fact your work will allow millions of viewers, gamers and users to play along by bringing games, internet and TV together in new and innovative ways Are a born collaborator, you value communication and sharing knowledge. You also work well in a team setting and like to achieve common goals & objectives Are customer focus - You put the client at the heart of your decisions Have the ability to transfer your experience and knowledge to junior team members Possess an analytical mind, are eager to learn and are always looking for new and innovative solutions Are proficient in spoken and written Dutch and/or English
