Bondscoach Oranje Dames XV

Rugby Nederland is op zoek naar een Bondscoach voor Oranje Dames XV. Als eindverantwoordelijke binnen het nationale vrouwen XV-programma is de Bondscoach verantwoordelijk voor de prestaties, cultuur en langetermijnontwikkeling van het nationale vrouwenteam.

De Bondscoach rapporteert rechtstreeks aan de Technisch Directeur van Rugby Nederland en geeft leiding aan het programma met als doel Oranje Dames XV competitief te laten presteren binnen de internationale competities van Rugby Europe en World Rugby.

Belangrijkste verantwoordelijkheden

Coaching en performance

Leidinggeven aan de voorbereiding en prestaties tijdens interlands en internationale competities, waaronder het Rugby Europe Championship, WXV en eventuele Rugby World Cup-campagnes.

Ontwikkelen en implementeren van de speelwijze en het wedstrijdplan, passend binnen de DNA of Dutch Rugby.

Selecteren van de nationale selectie en wedstrijdopstellingen in samenwerking met de coachingstaf.

Creëren van een high-performance cultuur waarin respect, verantwoordelijkheid en continue ontwikkeling centraal staan.

Opstellen en evalueren van individuele ontwikkelplannen voor speelsters.

Rapporteren over prestaties en voortgang aan de Technisch Directeur.

Staf en talentontwikkeling

Leidinggeven aan en evalueren van de coaching- en performance staf rondom Oranje Dames XV.

Adviseren over de samenstelling en ontwikkeling van de staf.

Identificeren van toekomstige Oranje-speelsters en samenwerken met nationale jeugdprogramma’s, academies en clubs om de doorstroom naar het seniorenteam te versterken.

Onderhouden van professionele relaties met clubs rondom de beschikbaarheid, ontwikkeling en het welzijn van speelsters.

Planning en samenwerking

Samen met de Head of Athletic Performance opstellen en uitvoeren van het seizoensplan.

Coördineren van de sportinhoudelijke voorbereiding rondom trainingen, interlands en internationale competities.

Afstemmen met de Technisch Directeur over budget, organisatie en de ontwikkeling van het programma.

Samenwerken met coaches en performance staff binnen Rugby Nederland aan de nationale speelwijze.

Vertegenwoordigen van Oranje Dames XV richting media en andere externe stakeholders.

aantoonbare rugby- en coachingervaring heeft op high-performance niveau;

ervaring heeft met het leiden en ontwikkelen van speelsters en staf;

een duidelijke visie heeft op high-performance rugby en talentontwikkeling;

sterk is in leiderschap, communicatie en samenwerking;

prestaties kan analyseren en vertalen naar concrete ontwikkeldoelstellingen;

effectief kan samenwerken met clubs, nationale talentprogramma’s en andere stakeholders;

zich als coach continu wil blijven ontwikkelen.

Persoonlijke ontwikkeling

De Bondscoach krijgt toegang tot relevante opleidingen en CPD-programma’s van World Rugby en Rugby Europe en ontvangt begeleiding vanuit de Head of Coaching Performance Pathways van Rugby Nederland.

Afhankelijk van het beschikbare budget is er jaarlijks ruimte voor één aanvullende CPD-activiteit.

Contract en vergoeding

Het betreft een betaalde parttimefunctie. Het aantal uren wordt in overleg vastgesteld en afgestemd op de behoeften van het programma gedurende het seizoen.

De overeenkomst start in november 2026 en heeft een initiële looptijd van 12 maanden, met de mogelijkheid tot verlenging met nog eens 12 maanden.

De Bondscoach werkt als zelfstandige en factureert Rugby Nederland. Kandidaten dienen een EU-nationaliteit te hebben of over een geldige verblijfsvergunning te beschikken waarmee zij binnen de EU als zelfstandige mogen werken.

De vergoeding wordt besproken met kandidaten die worden geselecteerd voor de eerste gespreksronde.

Head Coach – Netherlands Women’s XV

Rugby Nederland is looking for a Head Coach for the Netherlands Women’s XV. As the senior coach within the national women’s XV programme, the Head Coach will be responsible for the performance, culture and long-term development of the national women’s team.

The Head Coach reports directly to the Technical Director of Rugby Nederland and will lead the programme with the aim of ensuring the Netherlands Women’s XV is competitive in international competitions organised by Rugby Europe and World Rugby.

Coaching and Performance

Lead the preparation and performance of the team during international matches and competitions, including the Rugby Europe Championship, WXV and potential Rugby World Cup campaigns.

Develop and implement the team’s playing style and game plan, aligned with the DNA of Dutch Rugby.

Select the national squad and matchday teams in collaboration with the coaching staff.

Create a high-performance culture built around respect, accountability and continuous development.

Develop and evaluate individual development plans for players.

Report on performance and progress to the Technical Director.

Staff and Talent Development

Lead and evaluate the coaching and performance staff supporting the Netherlands Women’s XV.

Advise on the composition and development of the staff.

Identify future Netherlands Women’s XV players and work closely with national youth programmes, academies and clubs to strengthen the pathway into the senior national team.

Maintain professional relationships with clubs regarding player availability, development and welfare.

Planning and Collaboration

Develop and implement the seasonal plan together with the Head of Athletic Performance.

Coordinate the rugby-specific preparation for training camps, international matches and competitions.

Work with the Technical Director on budget, organisation and programme development.

Collaborate with coaches and performance staff across Rugby Nederland on the national playing philosophy.

Represent the Netherlands Women’s XV in media engagements and towards other external stakeholders.

Who Are We Looking For?

has demonstrable rugby and coaching experience at high-performance level;

has experience leading and developing players and staff;

has a clear vision for high-performance rugby and talent development;

demonstrates strong leadership, communication and collaboration skills;

can analyse performance and translate insights into clear development objectives;

can work effectively with clubs, national talent programmes and other stakeholders;

is committed to continuous professional development as a coach.

Professional Development

The Head Coach will have access to relevant World Rugby and Rugby Europe education and CPD programmes and will receive support from Rugby Nederland’s Head of Coaching Performance Pathways.

Subject to available budget, there will be scope for one additional CPD activity per year.

Contract and Compensation

This is a paid part-time position. The number of hours will be agreed upon and aligned with the needs of the programme throughout the season.

The contract will commence in November 2026 and will initially run for 12 months, with the possibility of a further 12-month extension.

The Head Coach will work as an independent contractor and invoice Rugby Nederland. Candidates must be EU nationals or hold a valid residence permit allowing them to work as self-employed professionals within the EU.

Compensation will be discussed with candidates selected for the first round of interviews.
