Lead infrastructure solution design activities and contribute to technology roadmaps and architectural direction. Drive business continuity and disaster recovery planning, testing and documentation. Identify opportunities for service improvement, automation and infrastructure optimisation. Collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders to ensure effective delivery of infrastructure services and projects. Support operational governance and continuous improvement initiatives.

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking an IT Technical Lead - Infrastructure to work within the Financial Services sector. This is initially a 6 month contract with strong potential for extension and will be a hybrid opportunity based in Cheshire. We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Technical Lead to act as a technical subject matter expert across a complex enterprise environment. The successful candidate will provide technical leadership across infrastructure projects, support the development of technology roadmaps, drive service improvements, and ensure the ongoing stability, security and resilience of critical infrastructure services.

Strong experience administering and troubleshooting enterprise Wintel server environments. Extensive knowledge of Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, Azure and Microsoft 365 services. Experience supporting file services, replication technologies, backup and recovery solutions. Proven ability to produce low-level designs for complex enterprise infrastructure solutions. Strong technical leadership, stakeholder management, problem-solving and communication skills. Experience with infrastructure automation and scripting would be advantageous. Experience working within large enterprise environments. Willingness to participate in out-of-hours support and on-call activities. Minimum 8+ years' experience in enterprise infrastructure support, administration and technical leadership roles
