As a Caretaker you play a vital role in supporting our students and staff on a day to day basis. Together with the other caretakers you take care of our buildings and are responsible for a wide array of tasks such as small repairs, solving (safety) issues, support during events, closing the building etc. With your team you keep the buildings and surroundings in a good, clean and safe condition and you are part of our Emergency Response Team (BHV).
What you'll bring
As a Caretaker you are flexible and service driven, you get energy from supporting students and staff in various ways and like to work closely with your colleagues. You have a pro-active and hands-on mentality and are not reluctant to get your hands dirty. You have an open mind to different cultures and backgrounds You have the capability to perform various tasks in a busy and noisy environment You are able to interact constructively with students and staff You can speak and understand both English and Dutch.
What's on offer
Salary in scale 4, based upon knowledge and experience (min. € 2.554,- max. € 3.309,- full-time per month, before tax). About the company
The Amsterdam International Community School (AICS) is a Dutch International Primary and Secondary School offering international education in English to 2400 students of more than 80 different nationalities who are (temporarily) living in the Netherlands and are enjoying high quality, accessible, community based international learning. The AICS is a partly-state-funded community school, which enables us to deliver high-quality education at competitive fees. We were the first school in the Netherlands to offer the full IB continuum (IB, PYP, MYP, DP and CP) and are a fully accredited member of the Council of International Schools (CIS).
