You will also play a leading role in spotting emerging trends early, curating industry intelligence and translating the collective expertise of Esomar's global community into practical insight, thought leadership and new opportunities for members. This is a highly visible executive role that combines external engagement, strategic leadership, advocacy and community building. The Chief Industry Officer is Esomar's executive leader for industry engagement, professional development and global advocacy — and one of the most visible voices shaping where the profession goes next. You will connect and energise Esomar's worldwide ecosystem of members, associations, ambassadors, partners and institutional stakeholders, building relationships that move both the organisation and the profession forward. Working closely with the Executive Team, Council and President, you will position Esomar as the trusted global convenor of the insights community - spotting emerging issues early, shaping the conversations that matter, and responding quickly to what members need next. You will own Esomar's industry intelligence agenda: scanning what's coming - from AI to new methodologies and business models - and turning trends and community expertise into products, services, events and thought leadership that create real, visible value for members. You will also keep Esomar's professional frameworks modern and fit for purpose - enabling responsible innovation rather than slowing it down - so that trust and progress move at the same pace.

**1\. Build relationships and strengthen the global community**

* Lead and grow Esomar's network of associations, institutional partners, ambassadors and country representatives. * Build trusted relationships with industry leaders, regulators, policymakers and strategic partners around the world. * Create stronger connections across Esomar's global community, encouraging collaboration, shared learning and collective action. * Ensure committees, ambassadors and representatives have clear purpose, strong engagement and meaningful contribution to Esomar's strategy.

* Represent Esomar as a leading voice for the global insights community alongside the President. * Build constructive dialogue with governments, regulators, peer organisations and international institutions. * Help shape conversations around the future of research, data, analytics and insights. * Identify opportunities for Esomar to increase its influence and visibility across the industry.

* Scan the horizon: identify emerging trends, technologies, opportunities and challenges before they hit the mainstream. * Capture and amplify the best thinking generated across Esomar's global community. * Move at pace: translate industry developments into products, events, training and member services that members actually use and value. * Build Esomar's reputation as the go-to reference point for the profession through bold, practical thought leadership and knowledge resources.
