Our client is looking for a commercially astute and forward-thinking Senior Business Controller to play a pivotal role in driving financial performance within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This is an exciting opportunity to act as a strategic partner to the business, combining financial expertise with operational insight to influence decisions and deliver sustainable value. This role is an initial 6 months contract with the intention to extend permanently in an global player organization. Operating within a multinational organisation, you will lead financial planning, cost control, and champion continuous improvement across functions.
What you'll do
Own Financial Planning & Performance Lead the end-to-end budgeting and forecasting processes, delivering robust and actionable plans aligned with business strategy, Provide timely, insightful analysis of financial performance, identifying risks, opportunities, and key drivers, Partner with leadership to ensure strong financial visibility and informed decision-making. Drive Margin Growth & Commercial Excellence Deliver in-depth margin and profitability analysis across identifying value creation opportunities, Support pricing strategies and commercial decisions through robust financial modelling and analysis, Identify opportunities to enhance profitability, evaluate cost structures and profitability drivers. Be a Strategic Business Partner Collaborate closely with sales, operations, engineering, and supply chain teams to influence performance and strategic direction, Provide financial insight to support strategic initiatives, investment cases, and business development opportunities, Influence and challenge stakeholders to ensure financially sound decisions across the organisation. Enhance Cost Control & Efficiency Lead initiatives to strengthen cost control across manufacturing operations, Monitor and control manufacturing costs, including material, labour, overheads, and variances, Analyse production costs, variances, and efficiencies, recommending improvements to optimize performance. Champion Continuous Improvement Drive and lead continuous improvement initiatives across finance and the wider organization, Streamline processes, enhance reporting accuracy, and increase efficiency through automation and standardization, Promote a culture of continuous improvement across finance and the broader business. Ensure Governance & Compliance Support internal and external audits, ensuring adherence to corporate policies and regulatory standards, Safeguard financial integrity in a complex multinational environment. Leverage Data, Systems & Insights, Leverage financial systems to deliver accurate reporting and insights, Design and develop insightful dashboards and performance metrics, enabling data-driven decision-making, Enhance reporting capabilities through digital tools and advanced analytics. Operating within a Global Environment Operate effectively within a multinational structure, managing complex intercompany transactions, Collaborate with global finance teams to ensure consistency, accuracy, and alignment across regions.
What you'll bring
Proven experience as a Senior Business Controller within a manufacturing environment, Professional qualification preferred (ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or equivalent), Strong expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis, Demonstrated success in margin improvement and cost control, Experience in multinational organizations with complex intercompany structures, Advanced user of SAP with strong capability in data visualization tools, Exceptional stakeholder management and the ability to influence at all levels, A proactive mindset with a passion for continuous improvement and transformation.
