Vacancies Press & PR Coordinator Press & PR Coordinator International Film Festival Rotterdam (IFFR) presents a leading film festival and year-round programme. We support new and adventurous filmmaking talent, also beyond the screening room, through initiatives such as CineMart, the Hubert Bals Fund, Rotterdam Lab and other industry activities. In January each year, we bring together emerging and established filmmakers and artists from around the world to showcase a visionary programme of independent films, talks, exhibitions, performances, installations, immersive media and more. IFFR attracts over 300,000 visits to screenings and events annually. We also organise a range of film-related activities throughout the year, with our Filmclub and other collaborations with Rotterdam-based partners. In January/February 2026, we will celebrate the 56th edition of our 11-day festival and we are looking for a Press & PR Coordinator (f/m/x) to join our Press & PR team within the Audiences & Communities team. This concerns a temporary contract (5 months).

The Press & PR Coordinator will be responsible for managing media relationships, coordinating journalist travel logistics and supporting the successful execution of press events. This role plays a key part in enhancing the festival’s media presence, ensuring efficient communication with journalists, and helping to manage the festival’s press office and related activities. What will you do? Oversee and manage travel arrangements for journalists. Lead the planning and execution of Filmmaker Video interviews, coordinating logistics and ensuring smooth delivery. Lead the planning and execution of the Filmmakers x Press Mixer (breakfast/lunch) during the festival in close collaboration with the Guest department and Events Producer. Manage Media Outreach & Inclusion Scheme, ensuring alignment with official press invitations and festival goals. Support the Press & PR officer with the national reach strategy. Contribute to the general functioning of the press office (including the press desk on festival location and managing the press office inbox) by maintaining clear communication and supporting team efforts. Who are you? Ideally you are/will have: Proven experience in a Press or PR role, ideally within the cultural or film sector; A strong affinity with journalism and media relations, particularly in the context of film or cultural events; Strong organisational and planning skills with a keen eye for detail and the ability to juggle multiple tasks efficiently; Confidence in coordinating events and working collaboratively with different teams, partners and stakeholders; Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills in English (Dutch is a plus); Knowledge of the Dutch Media Landscape; A calm, clear communicator who remains flexible and professional under pressure; Living in Rotterdam or within travelling distance and eligible to work in the Netherlands. An average of 3 days per week, based at our office in central Rotterdam. Temporary contract, 5 months, from October 2025 to February 2026. 25 days of paid leave (pro-rata).
