About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Manager Nutrition Science Europe to join our Research &D). Reporting to the Director Global Nutrition, this strategic role will be responsible for defining and driving the European nutrition agenda across all product categories. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in translating nutrition science into actionable business strategies while leading a direct report. Senior Manager Nutrition Science at a glance ... Strategic planning: Define and execute consumer-centric European nutrition strategy across categories, ensuring alignment with company priorities. Cross-functional collaboration: Partner with Global and Zone teams—including R&D, Growth, Regulatory, Legal, and Communications—to integrate nutrition into the business.
Subject matter expertise
Scientific Translation: Synthesize complex nutritional science into actionable insights for product innovation and reformulation projects. Knowledge Transfer: Communicate technical data through clear, compelling messages for non-technical audiences and cross-functional stakeholders. Internal Education: Design and deliver regular training programs to guide internal business partners on nutritional standards and trends. Qualifications: External representation: Identify and build relationships with key external stakeholders and represent the company within industry organizations. Science and policy monitoring: Monitor nutrition-related policy developments and emerging science to advise senior leadership on potential risks and to identify commercial opportunities. Global integration: Leverage nutrition best practices from other zones by collaborating with the broader global nutrition community.
What you'll bring
Education: Minimum master’s degree in nutrition; PhD and Registered Dietitian qualification preferred. Experience: 15+ years of experience in the FMCG industry, managing a diversified product portfolio. Excellent analytical and time management skills.
Strategic expertise: Ability to leverage nutrition subject matter expertise to meet business priorities. Track record of building successful partnerships with cross-functional teams and external bodies. Stakeholder management - Collaboration: Skills in influencing internal stakeholders and managing expectations through proactive communication. Regulatory/policy fluency: Understanding European food policy and the evolving legislative landscape. Communication: Strong proficiency in English with the ability to translate technical data for non-technical audiences.
