About the company

Rebels are strategic advisors who dare to dream and believe in change. We do this by driving societal shifts and focusing on one goal: making a positive impact on the world. We operate at the intersection of public and private: between societal goals and entrepreneurship. That combination is in our DNA. We love complex challenges and the moment when thinking turns into doing. What do we do? The Rebel Payments, Mobility and Insights team is a global team of 30+ consultants passionate about bringing lasting change to the mobility industry. Working for government and private mobility companies, we facilitate public-private partnerships that create mutually beneficial outcomes, driving financial value and positive social change. Our team members are experienced advisors who previously led mobility (payment) systems and managed implementation projects all over the world. With offices in Canada, the U.S., the Netherlands, Singapore and the UK, we bring global insights and best practices that enable effective changes in governance, procurement, contracting, and pilot and program implementation. We help private parties and various levels of government develop growth strategies, conduct market research, draft or guide procurement processes, formulate strategic policy, and carry out feasibility studies or impact analyses. We also support the implementation of our own recommendations and help bring them into practice by setting up pilot and demonstration projects. We’re looking for someone who wants to focus on at least the following topics: Autonomous transport – Further developing the introduction of autonomous transport in Europe by advising both public and private sector clients. Behavioural change – Encouraging sustainable behaviour, increasing the affordability of mobility and improving ease of use. Think, for example, of implementing ways to make paying for mobility easier. Shared mobility – Further developing shared mobility by, for example, working on public bike-sharing systems or smart solutions for car-sharing. In short: we help bring mobility innovations from idea to execution, always with an eye for societal value and commercial reality. Who are we looking for? Someone who is energised by change and eager to help build the future of mobility. Someone who doesn’t shy away from complex challenges, but tackles them with curiosity and determination. Someone who feels comfortable in an international team with colleagues located around the world. Above all, you have an intrinsic motivation to expand our work internationally, particularly to the United States, Asia or Northern Europe. Think, for example, of someone who originally grew up outside the Netherlands or lived there for an extended period. You bring your own background, but ultimately we value assertiveness and grit more than knowing everything already. You recognise yourself in the following: You have 2 to 4 years of experience in consultancy or industry, preferably in mobility You work independently, but also enjoy collaborating with colleagues and clients You think analytically, adapt quickly and maintain oversight in dynamic environments You speak and write fluent English and Dutch (hard requirement) You have an intrinsic motivation to help expand our work internationally You are willing to work and travel outside regular office hours What you'll find at Rebel At Rebel, you work in a multidisciplinary team of approximately 30 colleagues that is part of an international group of more than 300 consultants. We have a flat organisation where everyone is an owner of their projects and of the company itself. You get the space to grow, explore new ideas and occasionally stumble, because that’s part of learning. You also get the chance to make real impact on projects that matter. We already do this for clients in the Netherlands, but together with you we want to develop this further outside the Netherlands as well.
