We are looking for a Geophysics Solutions Engineer to support the worldwide growth of GroundIQ's geophysics offering.
This global pre-sales role combines geoscience expertise with commercial and client-facing skills to translate geological challenges into tailored GroundIQ solutions. The Geophysics Solutions Engineer supports Fugro sales teams globally by qualifying opportunities, interpreting and QA/QC-ing passive seismic data, delivering technical presentations and demonstrations, and contributing expert input to proposals and tenders. Working closely with sales, product and development teams, the role helps shape GroundIQ's future through client feedback, technical leadership and industry thought leadership.
You act as technical lead for GroundIQ opportunities globally, supporting the full pre-sales cycle from qualification to contract award;
You translate client geological challenges into tailored GroundIQ solutions and survey approaches that deliver value;
You design and present technical solutions, demonstrations, and proofs of concept in collaboration with sales and product teams;
You process, interpret, and assure the quality of passive seismic data, communicating results within a clear geological context;
You provide expert technical input to proposals, tenders, and bid submissions to strengthen commercial success;
You build trusted relationships with clients and stakeholders, serving as a credible geophysical authority;
You drive continuous improvement by sharing market insights, supporting product development, and contributing to technical thought leadership.
What you'll bring
You have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Earth Sciences, Geophysics, Geology, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related discipline.
You have 5-10 years of relevant experience in geophysics, geoscience, subsurface investigations, or a related Earth Science field;
You are experienced with passive seismic methods, geophysical interpretation, subsurface characterisation, and data QA/QC workflows;
You can translate complex technical findings into clear, client-focused recommendations;
You possess strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage both technical and commercial audiences;
You have experience in client-facing, consulting, pre-sales, or business development environments is advantageous; additional language skills such as Spanish are a plus.
