Open role
Demand Planner
Grafton B.V.
About the role
For a large international FMCG organisation with a highly mature Integrated Planning set-up, we are looking for a Response Planner to support the Benelux market (NL/BE) within the Home Care portfolio. You will work close to the market (Dutch/Belgian retail dynamics) while operating in a global matrix environment. You will join a team of 3 (1 Response Planner + 2 Demand Planners) and work with a broad stakeholder group across planning, operations and sales.
What you'll do
As Response Planner Benelux, you own the short-term availability agenda and drive the daily execution to protect service and avoid waste. You reconcile supply and demand within a short horizon (typically < 6 weeks) and act fast when disruptions happen. Key responsibilities: Ensure product availability for the Benelux market and mitigate short-term service risks. Run daily operational planning & replanning in SAP based on live signals (shortages, overselling, production/transport/warehouse changes). Act as the interface between sourcing/manufacturing, transport, warehouse and Sales; align priorities and make decisions on what happens first. Replan flows from manufacturing to (travel) warehouse and ensure correct dispatch / repatch. Drive service performance in line with agreed targets and communicate risks clearly to stakeholders. Contribute to continuous improvement together with international partners (incl. Poland-based colleagues). Why is the role open? Backfill: the current role holder is moving internally to another office/position. Typical day You start by checking SAP and the most important supply/demand signals. You identify risks (overselling, constraints, delays), set priorities, replan deliveries/flows and align actions with Sales and supply chain stakeholders. You document decisions and next steps so everyone works from one plan. What do you get? (USPs) A role within a world-class FMCG environment known for strong processes, high planning standards and continuous improvement culture; Direct impact on on-shelf availability for major NL/BE retailers: your decisions are visible and business-critical; Exposure to a highly structured, international supply chain with modern planning ways of working (and collaboration with international hubs/partners); Strong learning curve: ideal for someone who wants to grow in end-to-end supply chain planning and stakeholder management; 1-year fixed-term contract; Flexible start date – they are willing to wait for the right candidate.
What you'll bring
Ideally 1–5 years relevant experience (junior/medior). Recent graduates / final-year students can also be considered with the right attitude and learning ability; Strong analytical mindset: you understand data, spot trends quickly and act decisively; Problem-solving skills and the ability to stay structured under pressure when disruptions occur; Clear communication and stakeholder management skills (daily alignment with Sales and Operations); Interest in and ability to learn supply chain planning logic; SAP experience is a plus. Experience with additional planning tools (e.g., RapidResponse/Kinaxis) is a nice-to-have.
