We are Bilfinger Life Science We practice open cooperation We support each other and celebrate our successes together We travel a lot and work on exciting international projects We are easily accessible by public transportation and bike paths We promote professional and personal development Tasks as Principal Process Engineer Industrial Waste Water Treatment You will assume technical responsibility for the planning, process design, commissioning, and optimization of industrial wastewater treatment systems, ranging from the selection of suitable unit operations to the design of complete treatment trains for clients in the semiconductor and battery cell industries. As Technology Owner, you will drive the technical advancement of solutions, standards, and best practices. In this role, you will support technical proposal development, prepare process specifications, and take responsibility for technical tenders and supplier selection. You will lead process engineering activities within projects, support Process Engineers during project execution, and manage commissioning activities as well as Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) and Site Acceptance Tests (SATs). You will represent technical expertise toward clients, partners, and suppliers and make a significant contribution to knowledge development, knowledge transfer, and coaching activities within the Advanced Industries Competence Center. We are looking forward meeting a candidate with Completed education in a scientific or engineering discipline, such as Process Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field; a PhD is considered an advantage. More than 10 years of experience in the planning, process design, commissioning, and optimization of industrial wastewater treatment plants, including process selection, material and mass balance calculations, chemical dosing, and hydraulic design. Strong technical expertise in key unit operations and treatment trains used in industrial wastewater treatment, particularly equalization/homogenization, neutralization, precipitation, coagulation, flocculation, sedimentation, lamella clarification, filtration, sludge treatment, and water recycling. Proven experience as a Lead Engineer, technical subject matter expert, or Technical Authority in the execution of complex industrial projects. Knowledge of selective ion removal, membrane technologies, or biological treatment processes within the context of industrial wastewater treatment is an advantage. Excellent self-management skills, a structured working approach, strong quality awareness, and willingness to travel. Collective agreement gross annual salary starting at €64,000.
