2x Platform Engineer Mobile

We are looking for an experienced Platform Engineer – Mobile CI/CD to join a large international development tooling department. This department is responsible for providing a modern, reliable and secure development environment to software engineering teams across the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, France, the UK and India.

The development environment includes a broad range of on-premises, Azure-hosted and SaaS-based tooling, including Azure DevOps. The department consists of eight teams, each responsible for a specific area of the development tooling portfolio.

Together, these teams support the full software development lifecycle, from developer workstations, backlog management and source code management through to CI/CD pipelines and production deployments.

You will join the Mobile Pipeline Team, which is responsible for developing, improving and supporting CI/CD pipelines for mobile applications.

The team builds reusable pipeline templates and building blocks that enable mobile development teams to create secure, compliant and efficient delivery pipelines. These building blocks cover areas such as code quality, security, automated testing, build processes and application deployment.

You will work closely with Android and iOS developers to understand their needs, solve pipeline-related challenges and improve the overall mobile development experience.

You will also collaborate with security teams, architects and other central departments to ensure that pipelines meet technical, regulatory and organisational standards.

Work on mobile CI/CD solutions used by development teams across multiple countries

Influence how Android and iOS applications are built, tested and released

Combine hands-on engineering with developer enablement and technical support

Work with modern mobile, cloud and DevOps tooling

Develop reusable solutions with a direct impact on engineering productivity

Collaborate with experienced developers, architects and security specialists

Design, develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for Android and iOS applications

Create reusable pipeline templates and building blocks in Azure DevOps

Support mobile development teams with pipeline configuration and troubleshooting

Resolve blocking CI/CD, build and deployment issues

Work directly with developers to improve the usability and reliability of pipelines

Integrate security, quality assurance and automated testing into the delivery process

Maintain and improve mobile-specific CI/CD tools and SaaS solutions

Translate developer requirements into scalable platform solutions

Ensure pipelines comply with security, architecture and development standards

Contribute to both platform development and operational support

Take ownership of incidents and drive issues through to resolution

Continuously improve the developer experience

Hands-on experience designing, developing or supporting CI/CD pipelines

Experience with Azure DevOps pipelines or a comparable CI/CD platform

Knowledge of mobile application build and release processes

The ability to read or work with Kotlin, Swift, Python, Ruby and shell scripts

A willingness to work extensively with Kotlin

Experience with, or knowledge of, the .NET MAUI framework

The ability to remain effective when solving urgent or business-critical issues

Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills
