AI Experience & Visual Designer

Full-time / Part-time Hybrid Latitude is a Data & AI consulting firm building AI Agents & Interfaces for Europe’s leading organisations. We help organisations go beyond simply adding a chat interface. Our goal is to embed AI into the workflows, systems and decisions that define how their business operates. As our AI Experience & Visual Designer , you shape how our AI solutions are experienced, understood and adopted. You translate complex business problems, emerging AI capabilities and technical architectures into intuitive user experiences, compelling prototypes and clear visual stories. Depending on the engagement, this can mean designing how an employee collaborates with an AI agent, creating an interface that makes AI recommendations understandable and actionable, visualising a complex workflow, or turning an AI strategy into an executive presentation that creates clarity and momentum. You are AI-native in the way you work. You use AI throughout the design process—from research synthesis and concept exploration to prototyping, content, imagery and motion—while maintaining a high standard for judgment, originality and craft. You do not use AI simply to create more output; you use it to explore more possibilities and arrive at better solutions.

Own end-to-end experience design for AI products, agents, interfaces and data-driven solutions, from discovery through implementation Translate ambiguous business and user problems into clear workflows, interaction models, concepts and prototypes Design interaction patterns for AI agents and copilots, including delegation, approval, feedback, memory, uncertainty, source attribution and human oversight Determine where AI should assist, recommend, automate or deliberately remain outside the process Conduct user research, stakeholder interviews and co-design sessions to understand real workflows, behaviours and adoption barriers Rapidly prototype ideas using Figma, AI-assisted design tools and, where useful, functional or coded prototypes Test concepts with users and work closely with engineers to refine interactions based on technical realities, model behaviour and user feedback Turn strategies, architectures, research findings and use cases into persuasive visual storylines for executive presentations, workshops and proposals Create clear system diagrams, journey maps, service blueprints, data visualisations and conceptual illustrations that make complexity understandable Develop reusable experience principles, components and design-system patterns for LatitudeGPT and our client solutions Collaborate closely with AI Strategists, Solutions Architects and Engineers to connect business value, user experience and technical implementation Raise the visual and experiential quality of everything Latitude delivers, from product interfaces to client-facing materials

5+ years of experience in product design, UX, interaction design, service design or a closely related role A strong portfolio demonstrating both complex digital product design and high-quality visual storytelling Proven experience taking products or services from discovery and concept development through prototyping, testing and delivery The ability to simplify complex systems, workflows and information without losing important nuance Strong interaction-design skills, including states, edge cases, progressive disclosure, feedback and failure recovery Experience designing for B2B, enterprise, data-heavy or workflow-oriented environments Excellent visual-design fundamentals, including hierarchy, typography, composition, information design and narrative structure Confidence creating presentations that do more than report information: they establish a storyline, make an argument and lead an audience towards a decision An AI-native working practice: you actively use generative AI and emerging design tools to research, explore, prototype and communicate Strong proficiency in Figma and modern prototyping workflows The ability to collaborate directly with engineers and understand technical constraints well enough to make pragmatic design decisions A consulting mindset: curious, structured and comfortable working with both senior business stakeholders and technical teams Fluent English and confidence presenting and facilitating workshops; Dutch is strongly preferred

Experience designing conversational interfaces, AI copilots, agentic workflows or decision-support systems Familiarity with responsible AI principles such as transparency, user control, explainability, privacy and appropriate human oversight Experience with data visualisation, information design, dashboards or analytical products Experience creating motion design, generative visual systems, interactive storytelling or expressive digital identities The ability to create functional prototypes using tools such as Framer, Webflow, HTML/CSS, React or AI-assisted coding environments Familiarity with LLM capabilities and limitations, including probabilistic behaviour, hallucinations, context, memory and evaluation Experience working in a consultancy, agency, studio or other client-facing environment Experience building and maintaining product or presentation design systems Strong writing, UX copy or content-design skills A personal portfolio of AI experiments, prototypes or self-initiated design explorations
